Glad I bought this. Perfect little heater. Love the charm it adds to my living room and it heats it up quickly.

I primarily puchased this heater for the mini wood stove effect, and I am really happy with the faux flames, so pretty! The heater is more than sufficient for a small room with a tall ceiling where I am using it. However, there are three things to mention about this unit that others should know about. First, the legs are a royal pain to screw on. Each requires three small screws, and the shape of the legs make it frustrasting to fit a hand between the leg and the fan box on the underside of the heater. I had to go and purchase a special, 10" screwdriver with a magnetic head to finally get the screws in. Second, the cord is only 6', and it is unsafe to plug the heater into a power strip, so you need an appropriate wall socket. Finally, the heater has a blower to disperse the heat from beneath the unit. It is slightly noisy for my taste, and goes off and on periodically I guess when room or unit reaches the desired temperature. Despite these issues, I like the heater enough for its cozy looks, so plan to keep it.

This is a nice looking little heater but it is smallish. Howecver from reading the dimensions I was not surprised by this. It is built out of some fairly light sheet metal but that said it is still heavier than your typical small heater built out of plastic. I do like the feet and how they hold it up. It gets pretty warm on the bottom so I would use real caution about where I placed it. I have a 12x16 enclosed porch that is not on our central air but we keep it heated in the winter with a portable heater and cooled with a portable A/C. In the past I used small ceramic heaters that I sat on a pedestal about 3 feet tall that I built myself. I like this heater since I can sit it directly in the floor and it is heavy enough I don’t worry about my small dogs knocking it over. It heats the space well. I don’t know how it would do with a bigger space. Here near the TN/AL line it is not terribly cold most of the time. But the past month we have had some sub freezing days and nights and it has done OK on those. My space is insulated well and has walls finished in stone inside and outside with a concrete floor over a crawl space. That stone is a pretty good conductor of heat. But this little heater keeps the room toasty. That helps keep cold air out of the house as the dogs are taken in and out through that room to the back yard. The thermostat took some experimenting to find the setting I needed to keep the temp just right. But I have found this to be true of all small heaters regardless if they list an actual temp on the dial or not. One question - is it worth the cost ? That depends on your desires. If you don’t care about the visual effects here (they are in fact pretty well done) then probably not. You can buy a heater without the visuals for less. But for the heat it provides and the visual effects of the flame it is not bad. So it comes down to what you want. I personally like the flame effect. The only assembly is putting the legs on. That was pretty easy although the fitment of the parts is less than stellar. Took me maybe 5 minutes to put them on using an electric screwdriver. I would not use my 18V drill because the screws are small and would be easily stripped. The heater sits on the other side of a pair of french doors from my bed and it is quiet enough that it does not bother me at night. So it is not a noisy heater. That is a plus.

this little unit throws a lot of heat, this should be great in those cold winter nights ! it does not come with a remote, but the controls to turn on and off and adjust the the temp of the heat are just inside the door, the directions were good, but attaching the legs was a pain, instead of giving magnetic screws they give u reg screws and want 3 for each leg, well to put two in is almost impossible, forget the 3. but all in all, a nice warm heater !

The TURBO TS20 17 inch Freestanding Electric Fireplace is an attractive little heater. It is perfect for a small room. We put this heater in our sun room. The heat blows out quickly and evenly. It heated our sun room in no time. I like the adjustable heat settings to set a perfect temp to our liking. The burning wood and flames is great to light up the room and give a nice ambiance. You can also turn off the heat and just keep the flames glowing. I plan on using this as a piece for our Christmas decorations as well.

There's nothing better than when you get something home and turn it on, it puts an instant smile on your face. TURBRO's 17inch electric fireplace managed to do just that. The unit itself looks terrific even before you turn it on. I knew it would look great in my finished basement, where a little extra heat would be welcome, but I didn't realize HOW great I'd like it. The flames are life-like and the logs glow. The effect is pretty good. The heat comes from the bottom. The top and sides stay cool to the touch. I don't see it as much of a fire hazard, but I have mine on a tile floor. If you're placing it on carpeting keep an eye on it until your satisfied it doesn't get too hot for your spot. It does have the ability to be 'looks-only' with no heat by simply leaving the heater unit turned off, as an fyi. Bottom line, it's a heater, so I would look at it as supplemental heat. I don't think it'll make a big room hot and toasty quickly, but I think it'll make a smaller room or a cooler spot VERY comfortable. It's not big (17 inches) so it takes up very little room. I like it a lot. It's a conversation starter and it's functional. My cold wall is cold no more. It worked perfectly for the spot we needed it. There's some assembly (you put on the legs with a phillips screw driver) but that shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes.

It took about 5 minutes to get set up. The instructions were clear. Really the only thing to set up is the legs. I really like the fact that the unit has a number of heating settings. It will heat up until it meets set point then shut itself off. the flame continues giving a nice warm feeling just looking at it. I spend a lot of time in my garage in the winter and its always cold. This unit looks great and fits right onto a counter that I have where I work. So not only do I get to enjoy the ambiance of an appearance of a flame in the fireplace but the heater keeps me nice and warm! This unit is light and easy to move wherever you want it. I look forward to setting this up in the family room for Christmas! Since I don't have a fire place this will take the place of the lack of that. You can have the heat and flame on. Or just the heat and or the flame. They are controlled separately. I see many years of enjoyment using this unit! The only thing that would make this better would be a remote control and ability to see what the rooms temperature is. This receives Paul's Gold seal of approval!

This cute little heater puts out a lot of heat. I had read the reviews but didn’t quite believe it could really heat that well because it’s so small but it really does heat up our entire house of less than 1000 feet! We haven’t used our heater in the 3 days since we received it and it’s the middle of November! It is very small but it’s mighty! It came super fast and was very well packaged.

I first opened the fireplace and it was a little smaller than I had in mind. The dimensions are on the listing, I just didn't take the time to open a tape measure to have a better idea of the size. The legs have to be screwed onto the base. A ratcheting screw driver comes in handy when attaching the legs. It is fairly easy to do, but know the screws are meant to fit tightly and hence it takes a little elbow grease to turn them in all of the way. It is a great looking little fireplace. The flames look real and are almost as mesmerizing as a real fire. A great imitation of flames. The heat side of the fireplace works pretty well. It doesn't heat up a large room, but is a great small heater for an office or next to our kitchen where have it for now. This would be a great item if someone had an apartment or small office and wanted something more attractive than a space heater. I gave it 5 stars, but I wish I got the larger version. There are bigger versions, that would most likely work better in a larger room. If you have a smaller space this one will be your choice.

Was readily assemble, it gives out a very real looking flames. So pretty . It’s going to be pretty for my apartment winter time. it’s a great price for such a quality product . It’s also so aesthetically pleasing！
