Questions & Answers

Choice of 2 Diameters???

I am going to install a Tapcon 1/4" x 3 1/4" screw. The packaging recommends a 3/16" x 5 1/2" Tapcon drill bit. I am buying an SDS hammer drill and understand that it requires these special SDS drill bits... this 7" length is the only one I can find in 3/16". Now I see another complication because this drill bit has two different choices of diameter size!!! I thought the diameter size was 3/16". What diameter size do I need to order for the Tapcon screw I am installing???
Asked by: MalteseMommy6
Drill bits come in many different size. Get the recommended size for the Tapcon you are using.
