The Tapcon+ 3/8" anchor requires a 3/8" drill bit for the pilot hole and a 9/16" socket to install. Hope this helps.

Do not use the same size bit as diameter of anchor or it will not secure properly. For a 3/8” diameter anchor use 5/16” bit which is slightly smaller. It will bite.
