Product Details

The most advanced design in Dock Floats. Patented design uses a very unique combination of heavy duty dock bumper and dock float. Designed to run the length of your dock and/or the platform section at the end of your dock. For use with 2 in. x 6 in. framing members on docks up to 8 ft. wide.
  • 415 lb. floatation each
  • Using BF-1 dock floats your dock sits low in the water for maximum stability
  • Use 2-floats for every 4 ft. of dock length floats bolt directly through 2 in. x 6 in. dock framing
  • Molded from marine grade polyethylene
  • Filled with expanded styrene foam
  • BF-1 - 2" x 6" frame w/ 2" x 6" Decking (can use standard 5/4 decking, but the float will sit slightly higher creating a "lip")
  • Hardware Required- 1/2" x 3-1/2" to 4" galvanized carriage bolts 1/2" flat washers, lock washers, and nut. 5 fastening holes per float

Q:Does this float fit into the 4x8 Tommy’s Cedar Dock kit? It look lik cross beams will get in the way. Is is made to have a custom frame built

A:  They do not work with Tommy Dock sections. You'd make your own custom framing.

    Q:IF I USE THIS PRODUCT AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE DOCK, THERE WILL BE TWO FEET AT EACH CORNER NOT PROTECTED BY THE BUMPER. DO YOU HAVE A PRODUCT TO FILL THIS VOID?

    A:  I put mine at each end of the left and right sides. So the ends of the dock are not protected. However, if you want to protect the entire perimeter of your dock, there are dock bumper strips available at most marine/boating supply dealers and on-line catalogs.

            Good product.
            These floats are great. The dock is close to the water so it is easy to get in and out from small boats, climb out after swimming, or sit with your feet in the water. The bumper feature is great - no problem with a boat colliding with the edge of the dock. The ones we have are very old and degraded - more than 20 years old. We are replacing them with more of the same. Our dock is 10' x 10' with a 2' x 8' walkway attached. We have 4 of these floats on the main dock. I only wish they were available in more different sizes so we could support the walkway more effectively.
