I would not use it for webbing for outdoor patio chairs. As a barrier it works well, to prevent an animal from entering a location. It works well keeping animals away from some trees, but as webbing you would be wasting your money. It is not strong enough to use for chairs. If used, you would fall thru the seat after using it several times. Buy a chair using regular webbing.
HDPE Plastic. -Lynn
Tenax Hardware net can be attached to styrofoam insulation. This product is 100% plastic so some animals can chew through the mesh.-Lynn
I am not sure what your application is when you have a steel fence? I used it indoor stretched between my front door and the steps going upstairs to keep our dogs from entering into the living and dining room area which I had just remodeled. For my purpose it was fantastic and worked well. For the price it was great as most of the other type fencing was expensive. Outside of that not knowing what your use would be, this is hard to answer.
I bought this net, 3 ft. X 15 ft., and cut it in half to about 3 ft. X 7 ft. to enclose the area from my front door to the upstairs railing. I used metal clips and bungy cords to hold it up. My purpose was to keep our two small dogs out of the living room and dining room as I had just remodeled both rooms. It is very flexible and I stretched the net so it was taught. Now our oldest dog has passed away and I took the net down. I am surprised that the younger dog has not gone into either room. The net is flexible both in length, but a little stiffer in height. This has been a great product for our use and I would recommend it for many uses. Cost wise it was a great product also compared to other barrier type products.
Tenax Hardware net has 1/2" x 1/2" mesh opening. Typically rodents have a hard time getting their teeth around the small mesh to chew. Keep in mind that this product is 100% plastic. You may want to consider metal fencing if you need something chew proof.-Lynn
I am using this product on a fence but not as a fence. I cable tie this mesh to my aluminum fence (posts set in concrete) in order to create a barrier between my neighbors yard and mine.
Sorry to hear you were disappointed with your purchase. Hardware Net should be 15' long. If you would like to contact me directly at lhinkle@tenax.com , I can help resolve this issue.-Lynn
No but if you want to cut it use a hacksaw with fine tooth blade, cuts it easily.
The material is high-density polyethylene.
