Great lid tuff to get on.
Lid is great once you remove the plastic seal. Hard to get on the first time. Trick is to press lid on with bucket against chest and both hands pressing on the lid snapping one section at a time. I tried stepping on the lid but didn't work.

Lid for 5 Gallon Homer Bucket
Mine was just delivered. I was hoping they had corrected the problem that the other reviews had pointed out. However, the lid still does not fit the 5 gallon Homer bucket. The inside lip of the lid is to large. You cannot force it into the bucket, therefore you cannot get the lid to stay on. In the photos, you can see where the lid seats properly and where it will not go down. The gasket is exposed.

Works As a Pontoon Cap
Are these things water tights? You bet! Are they affordable? Also yes! Will they support a wagon, beer cooler and boom box down a raging river? Ding, ding ding, ABSOLUTELY!
A few buddies and I strapped 4 of these plastic tops to some homer buckets to create pontoons. We strapped those pontoons to a wagon and floated our beer cooler down the springs! Not once did the buckets fill with water over the three day weekend we were there. I would highly recommend these products to anyone needing to store liquids or make carrying beer down a river easier.

Worked well .... the rubber ring fitting is a little...
Worked well .... the rubber ring fitting is a little loose and will fall out by it self but always fits 5 gallon bucket nice and tight and easy to remove .
