works well
I've been using this type of fitting for many plumbing projects for the past few years. This is the first fitting from this manufacturer though. It is very similar to the original brand and works in the same manner. The push to connect side works well. It's easy to slide onto the pipe, I used copper, and is secure. The threaded size worked well with the threaded pipe. I do like that the plastic insert included for use with PEX is not inserted into the fitting. My experience with the fittings that have the insert installed in the fitting can be a pain to remove. This brand does not include the c-shaped removal tool needed to remove the fitting from the pipe. I already had some from previous fittings and I use them enough that I purchased a metal plier style removal tool. These fittings are great because they are removable and after the pipe is installed in the push to fit end you can rotate the pipe which is great when you have valves or tee connections. I have several pipes with push to fit valves so I can rotate the valve to operate the handle in tight spaces. These eliminate the need to clean up solder joints when replacing pipes & fittings. They take the worry out of soldering a joint, checking for leaks and needing to properly drain pipes if a leak was found. These also eliminate the need for threaded copper to cpvc adapters. I always had trouble with those fittings. One fitting is used to go from copper to cpvc. They are more expensive then solder fittings, but the type they save and the hassle they prevent make up for the cost.

Great fitting!
I picked these up, after just sweating copper lines for years I picked these up and here I am. I use these all the time in my remodeling. The push to connect makes it super easy to use. The threads are tough and stay intact. It’s not complicated and the directions work fine. It’s a lot easier to use push-to-connect than trying to sweat copper fittings, for me, anyway.

Feels good
I picked up this item for a bathroom remodel I am undertaking in my home. I have to change a bunch of plumbing around, including rerouting my shower tree. I’m going with PEX this time around over copper and this makes the transition from PEX to shower stub out really simple. The one thing you have to be cognizant of is that unlike a different big name in this type of fitting, the PEX sleeve is removable, and has to be inserted into the fitting if you are using PEX.
