Fantastic Fitting
I would love to shake the hand of the man that invented these fittings, maybe even give him a hug. They are fabulous and make doing plumbing repairs a breeze whether your an journeyman plumber or a weekend do it yourself person. Don't forget to use some thread tape for the threaded connections. As for the push on end, I have been using these for the past few years on my own and others projects and I have yet to have to return due to one leaking. Once installed they seal right up and you can turn the water on immediately. No waiting for messy thread seal or glue to dry. They can be bought and fit to copper, pvc of the even the new pex hoses that are increasing in popularity.

used many of these with great success
I am planning on remodeling a bath room in the near future and will use this connecter and some more to complete the plumbing. I liked copper for many years until I started with PEX. These fittings save a tremendous amount if time and are very simple to use I have never had a problem connecting even different kinds of pipe whether its copper, PEX, OR CPVC. I began using them when I tried several times to sweat copper in a tight space and failed. I got tired and picked up a couple of T's and have been using them ever since.

Quick and easy to install,,,and uninstall
This fitting goes on pipe and functions the same as its better-known competitor and costs about the same. In fact, the competitor’s fitting removal tools work on both. This is the fitting you will need for wall-mounted faucets and shower controls that have ½-inch FPT. It also comes in ¾ and 1-inch sizes but not 3/8-inch PEX. One thing that sets this fitting apart is that the plastic reinforcing collar that is needed for PE-RT tubing (and maybe PEX) come loose so you do not have to grab needle-nose pliers to pull them out of the fitting for use on CPVC or copper. The packaging does not mention their use with PE-RT tubing, but the on-line product description does. The collars are not required for copper or CPVC, so I always pull them out. I have found the collars in fittings previously installed by others on copper when I disassembled the piping. They would slightly reduce the I.D. of the pipe but do not create a leakage problem. Another advantage of push-fit treaded adapters is that if you have a leak at the threaded connection, you can tighten the connection without breaking the connection or even remove the piping and fitting to correct the leak. This would be a much bigger issue with soldered or solvent welded fittings. The wetted portion of the fitting is all brass with a working rating of 200 psi and 200F, so they are good for potable and hydronic water applications. No insertion depth information is listed on the packaging. The product is made in PRC—China. The words “Plumber’s Choice” do not appear to the packaging.
