At first, I thought that this coupling was the wrong size, because its opening was much bigger than the 2 pipes I needed to join (slightly under 1-inch exterior), but it tightened down without issue. I've been using it for a few weeks with no leaks or other issues!

Only good for low pressure

Coupling is good for no pressure water, but I tried to connect two side of a sprinkler PVC pipe and started to bubble in the middle and didn't hold.
