The quality material the rubber coupler is perfect and it is a perfect fit for a PVC tube. I will be using this coupling to connect a few IBC totes for my rain harvesting system. The rubber matter perfectly allows for flexibility and easy on connecting pipes. It is great that the clamps are stainless steel because it is going to get wet a lot. Overall, I am very satisfied with coupling and I am confident that it will do its job and last a long time.

This Flexible reducer coupling can be used to transition a 1 ½” pipe to a 3” pipe, and is resistant to chemicals, ultraviolet rays, fungus growth, and normal sewer gases.
It can be used for PVC, ABS, Cast Iron, Steel, or Copper pipe.
It makes any future drain line service calls fast & easy, since the inside of the pipes can be accessed by simply loosening and removing the coupling.
The clamps are made of stainless steel and should last a lifetime. They should always be torqued down to 60 inch pounds using a torque wrench to insure a tight, leak proof connection.
The flexible Elastomeric Polyvinyl Chloride material allows for some variation in diameters of the pipe, so don’t worry if the coupling does not slide right onto an existing pipe. It also allows for some flexing of the pipes. Always clean the surface of the pipes before sliding into the coupling.
It is not recommended to use a reducer coupling to flow from the larger pipe into the smaller pipe. Always make sure the flow will be from smaller pipe into the larger pipe.
This coupling can be used for Drain, Waste, or Vent pipes (DWV).
As with any flexible coupling, it should not be used in a pressurized system.
It also should not be used in any potable (fresh drinking) water applications.
The contact surface of the coupling is smooth, not ribbed. Some couplings have little ribs molded in to them.
NOTE: This coupling works well with most pipes. It may not work well with Thin Wall, or CPVC pipe due to sizing differences of these pipes. Always measure your pipe diameter.

Wrong size
I was using the OD of the pipes, not aware that is not the way to do it. Got wrong size twice. OD is exactly 1.25 inches by 2 inches.

Not as described
This item is called 1", but the id of the coupler is 1-1/4". The total length is only 2-3/8", but the photo appears much longer.

The picture is wrong for this product SKU 1007709036
The specifications for this product length was not provided. Consequently, I estimated the length of this item by using the width of the clamp belt (1/2") which means the length between the clamps is 2". However, on the product I received the length between the clamps is only 1 inch. Total length of item is 2 3/8 inches. I needed a sleeve with a total length of 3 3/8 inches.
