AnswersUsing pellets creates this really cool fire effect and is almost completely smokeless. You can burn wood in it but it’s smoky. Try the pellets, you won’t be disappointed!!

Pellet Pit
Super easy to set up, added 2" of pellets as instructed added a littel lighter fluid and instant fire. They Burned for about 20 min, added a little more to keep fire going. Lots of heat and nice flame. Flames came out vent holes near top as manufacture said it would. On page 7 it says "Place burn chamber on top of Ash catch stand, youll hear a click. Seems to be impossible, but did set on securley. Awesome product!!

We decided to try this under $100 model before investing in a more expensive brand and we are glad we did. It's a great affordable portable firepit that uses effeceint burning pellets & press logs. I'd say that it's almost smokeless. Anticipate some smoke as the burn gets going but once the fire is established, smoke be gone. The fuel burns almost completely down to a small amount of ash making clean up is a breeze. And the unit cools off quickly too making pack and go a reality. We now see no need to spend more on a shiny stainless model and anticipate this unit will last us many years.

Seemed so well made. Sturdy, heavy metal. But, paint bubbled and feel off after first use. All over the place. Just disintegrated with the heat of one fire. Tried to contact their customer service 3 times, but they never responded. Will return and can't recommend. Made in China, poorly. Using the wrong paint was such a stupid thing to do.
