The ducting wall material is really thick and strong. Outer housing felt equally secure. If you are doing this job yourself, buy the ziptie cable tensioners and quality foil duct tape.

I am not an HVAC professional. I have only had it install for about a month. I ordered this product because some racoons or other critters had gained access to my crawl space and chewed holes in my original ducting. This product was quite an upgrade to what was there in R value and there is a significant increase in the CFM rating. This should make it easier on my HVAC unit as a whole and I am hoping to see a reduction in my cooling bills this summer. It was easy to install and hang with aluminum tape, zip ties and strapping. There was a smell when I first turned the HVAC back on, but from what I read, this is not uncommon. I sprayed some Odoban into the return vent and the smell disappeared and did not return. It seems to be working as advertised.
