Product Details

Strong polyester film laminated and encapsulating a heavy, corrosion resistant steel wire helix, forms the inner core. And supports a thick blanket of fiberglass insulation over a fiberglass scrim. The outer vapor barrier is a jacket of durable black polyethylene.

Definitely worth the price and effort if you have metal ducts though an unconditioned space. Duct work in my house was all 7" metal. Due to long runs and cold basement, the air was already room temperature by the time it reached the farthest vent which didn't help to warm the room at all. Replaced a 20' length off the main trunk and the air coming out was actually hot. We have since replaced one more complete run with 8" purchased locally.
