Will this work out side on a deck?

Will this work out side on a deck?
Asked by: dorset58
the product details state it is for interior use only so would assume not. this is for radiant heat flooring, for permanent installation underneath floating laminate or tile flooring.

Does heat go both directions, up and down? In other words, do rays go towards the floor and towards the laminate?

Asked by: Stan
No, it is upward heating.

will this work under a light carpet?

i have a small area 6'x2' that is cold it has unfinished plywood floor which is insulated from underneath. i will be adding a light carpet throw rug over the area and would like a little warmth. there isnt any room for any other type of heater.
Asked by: kjdubs
this is not meant to be installed under carpet, only for permanent installation under floating laminate or tile flooring. there is a newer type of portable heat pad to put underneath throw rubs or carpeting but it is not sold at home depot. I've only seen it online so far but don't have experience with it yet, I'm considering it for a cold hardwood floor in my house.
