Asked by: Judy
This film product is not recommended for use under tile. The appropriate product to use under tile would be the ThermoSoft WarmWalk and ThermoShower systems. you can see both of them at http://www.homedepot.com/b/Flooring-Under-Floor-Heating-Under-Floor-Warming/ThermoShower/ThermoSoft-WarmWalk/N-5yc1vZb97jZd9mZf9r?NCNI-5 One of our specialists can help you with any questions you may have, please call us at 877-249-6422.

electricity consumption for electric radiant floor panels

My electricity bill spikes during the winter months when I have my radiant floor panels activated. I supplement with a very effective wood stove so the spike in electricity consumption is perplexing. I realize heating is consumptive but mine is double that of other folks around my neighborhood and they have larger homes. I understand that radiant heat is fairly efficient so I was wondering if I could have a problem among my panels that is causing inefficient use of electricity (I have a 1200 sq ft open floor home with only radiant heat and a wood stove) If it is possible that I do have a problem, how would I detect it? Thank you
