Where can I find the breather filter for a Patriot vacuum red series on the external of canister
Asked by Doodle January 22, 2021I gave them star. What is advertised to be compatible is not. These filters can not be modified by me in order to force it to work since Shopvac has decided to not have any filters. I thought I had found some and was very disappointed since I have not been able to find my filter for more than a year.
Will these fit on my shop vac wet/dry model 8045?

Asked by Goodbees April 28, 2020I wouldn't recommend it. If you must re-use them, tap them outside on the ground to knock the big chunks out, and then use an air compressor or something to blow everything out (again, do this outside downwind). Water will just ruin the fabric and possibly create mold if you mix it with dirt or anything else the next time you use it.
Can this be used while sucking up water or is it for dry use only?
Asked by DRC April 16, 2019Water will mess this up. I left my old filter on by accident and sucked up water, and the filter eventually just breaks down, ruins everything and molds. Don't use water with this. I believe you would want to use the black mesh filter for water that can be hosed down after use.
Are the filters open on both ends or just one?
Asked by dave March 18, 2019Just one end. My vac had a filter cap that went around the base of the original, but these have a metal bottom to them and don't require the use of this screw on cap.
What is the inside radius of these filters?

This does NOT replace the shop vac part number 9039800. 9039800 is a smaller filter, 5" tall and %.75" O.D. and is specifically FOR the hanging vac. And in the hanging vac, the screw in cover is what holds the filter in place onto the vacuum powerhead.
