I absolutely love the Thomas Lighting Homestead 6-light Chrome Wall vanity light.

Lighting looks great in our bathroom that we are remodeling. A little difficulty installing it though because it wouldn't fit tight against the wall. Bur for the price, it was a great deal.

This is a large fixture! That's not a bad thing, but you should be aware of that fact. There are a lot of wires to manage, and a lot of glass to install. The multiple glass shades are what make this so wonderful. First let me get the slight negatives out of the way. There are a lot of wires to manage in the back strip. I found it difficult to hang without potentially pinching some of them. I had to tape some back to get a successful hang. The second issue is that it is really best to have a perfectly centered box. Most new bathrooms do, but my old one had an electrical rough in with an offset box. This took a little creativity to hang, including creating a new wire hole and installing a new bushing. Again, this is not a problem if you have a centered box. Check first. The fixture is heavy so you'll probably want to add the anchors and screws. These were a bit cheap, without instructions. I used a 1/4" bit, but that was too big and had to install my own anchors. Make sure to use 3/16" drill or less if you use the anchors. Instructions here would have helped. But everything else is great. It looks good. And importantly it can be installed UP or DOWN (see attached photos). I tried both. The up position gives indirect light, which can be really nice and soft feeling. Down gives direct light you may need for shaving or make-up application. I've currently settled on down, but may go back to up if I repaint my ceiling to brilliant white. I have both CFLs and incandescent installed, with 40 watt or lower bulbs for my small space. I love this fixture, it has completely upgraded the look of my bathroom and brought it into the 21st century.

The box appeared not to be damaged, but when I lifted it, I could hear the jingle of what I feared was a broken globe. My fear was confirmed. Also, the fixture had a small bend in it. It is not very noticeable, but I would return the fixture for either of these issues to get a replacement. I think the quality of the fixture is good, but somewhere the handling or shipping created issues, so I rated it only "fair". Without damage, it would be "good" and the appearance would be "excellent". Once installed, the fixture looks great. It is a more modern looking fixture than the chrome one it replaced. The fixture and globes are attractive. With six bulbs, it gives off great lighting. I used CFLs, so it is efficient. Installation is easy - except the finger clearance to install the nut to hold the globes is tight. I've attached photos of the finger clearance and the light after installation.

We installed our new bathroom lighting just 10 days ago and we are so happy with it. This lighting combines both class, beauty, and a bit of a modern look to your bathroom. The lighting is great, it's brightness shines exactly where you want it to be just over your bathroom mirror and on your vanity.
