You should be able to paint over the tiles. However, our tiles not flat and are embossed like real tiles so it may be hard to paint over it. We haven't had any customers who tried painting over them, so we cannot guarantee how it would turn out.

I measured with a ruler for outlets, and used a razor knife. Adheres well on just the paint. For extra measure they have spray adhesive.

I would not suggest it, as the steam heat from a dishwasher caused it to peel amd heat from a air fryer caused a burn type issue.

Since Tic Tac Tiles are resistant to the humidity of bathrooms, you can install them where they will not be in direct and continuous contact with water without any additional waterproofing. However, it is not recommended to install Tic Tac Tiles where they will be in direct contact with water (e.g. Shower stalls). If you install them inside a shower, make sure that the surface is completely dry and not at all damp or else the tiles will not remain stuck to the wall. You can also add a caulked joint to limit possible water infiltration. Furthermore, please make sure to clean the surface properly with a degreaser such as TSP before installing. We also recommend testing with 1 or 2 Tic Tac Tiles on the surface before doing the full project.
