AnswersIts actually two separate niches, no removable shelf, and typically the bullnose would be used on the face of the niche and the field tile would be cut to fit inside the niche walls.

AnswersIt's suppose to be tiled over. The surface accepts thin set just like cement backer board. The only "hard" part we encountered was grouting the tile in the little niche. Mine came as two separate pieces, not one mold.

Good solid product with built in angles for drainage. Installation was pretty straightforward but be aware it is 2 separate pieces. Size fits even the largest Costco size bottle of shampoo. I saw some reviews say their tiles didn't stick, but I had no issues. The mold has small ridges leftover from the tooling process and those seem to do a decent job holding onto things. I guess a little sanding wouldn't hurt either if you wanted.
