This is a nice idea and well executed, and now the base for our washer and dryer looks much nicer. However, as simple as it appears to be to work with, it can take some planning and patience. I used it to cover the base that I built for our front-loading washer and dryer. The base was built out of 2 X 4s and plywood. The plywood wasn’t smooth much less finished. Because the bonding surface needs to be paint, I sanded the surface and then gave it two coats of primer/sealer. I gave that a light sanding and then set about figuring how to lay out the wood so that it would have the maximum holding and also stagger the placement of the smaller pieces. Because the height of the base is 9-1/2 inches and the boards are 4 inches wide, I had to cut a couple of boards full length. It was necessary to cut both the top and bottom pieces otherwise one of the pieces would only be 1-1/2 wide witch would look odd and I also had to make cuts that did not cut into an adhesive strip on the back. I made my cuts on a table saw with a finish blade and the cuts went well. Because the base is 56 inches long and the planks are 42 inches long, I also had to cut some short pieces and I did this with the same saw and that went well too. I did find that when trying to put the pieces in place it can be a bit of a challenge because the adhesive strip is so sticky it attaches itself to the surface before I had it properly positioned. Once in place, the only way to reposition a board was to remove it completely which isn’t easy because the adhesive strips really grip well. More than once, I thought I was going to break a board. However, I found if I was careful and worked slowly, I could remove a board successfully without any damage.

The Timberchic 1/8"x4"x12-42" pine peel and stick wooden decorative wall planks 10 square foot per box.We choose this product to do one of the walls in our master bedroom. The product turned out rather nice. Easy to install simply peel and stick. I use the mop board as a guide and just worked my way up. Once finished I sprayed the planks with a light coat of shellac to give them a sheen finish. They can be cut to size using a fine tooth blade, which I used on my mitter saw. I laid my out first to see how I wanted to place them on the wall....and it's a good idea to leave them out in the room they're going to use in to let them adjust to the humidity in your room for a few days before use.

Real wood naturally reclaimed. Very easy to work with. Very good glue backing. But a glitch or two. Made in Maine, USA. This is real wood, naturally reclaimed from Maine rivers and other areas. Logs from 100 years ago sometimes sunk while the loggers were at work. It stayed preserved and now is reclaimed for this product! That's pretty cool, because otherwise the wood would eventually just decay away. (Info gathered from their web site.) You have to go to their website to get more information, including installation tips. I guess it is the new way, no instructions, just go to the web. No paper to throw away. I have no problem with that, it is just a reminder, especially when I was trying to figure out what the black dots were for. Oh, those black dots? They go on the wall behind your knot holes. Knot holes? Oh yeah. The wood is what the wood is, which sometimes means small knots knocked out. That's fine, it looks really great, just be aware depending on the product, there may be a few physical holes. You can see it in my photos. Remember: real wood. Real smells. My pine smelled great coming out of the box. My installation was for an accent "chair rail" of sorts. I have a wall next to a desk that is constantly taking abuse. Although this is not hard laminate or anything like that, it feels like it is up to the task of taking a little banging here and there. It is also resilient since the sticky on the back is spongy. Installation was super easy. Just peel and place. I used a power miter saw to make the cuts. Other ways work too, but this is the best. You have to be careful with placement because the adhesive is super strong. Once placed, you will NOT get it off the wall or move it without damaging the drywall. This is permanent. Should you need to take it off, you'll be repairing drywall. Also, for permanent installation, you need a J-roller or laminate roller to press it down. Just rubbing with hands is not enough to activate their warranty. I'll just say that even before I rolled it, it was stuck on really hard. This is good adhesive. Why not 5 stars? Because of a few quality glitches. This is a great product and I'd buy again, but I'd like to see them make a few changes. 1) They used a red-painted saw blade to cross-cut which left some red on my ends. I had some exposed areas and had to sand it off. 2) The adhesive strips on the back are all over the place, sometimes too close to the edge. They should be consistent and about 3/16" from the edge. Because I'm leaving an exposed edge, I can see the black adhesive in one section only. Speaking of leaving an edge. You can do so and it doesn't look too bad if you have the right colors. Be advised of my adhesive strip issue and you can work around it. They also make trim if you need it. Or you can fashion your own.

This isn't my first timberchic product but I have to tell you that I think it's a genius idea. It can take a room just by doing these easy-to-use wooden panels and it can take a plain room to a really cool space especially if you use them for an accent wall. I have also used them to make a really cool area in my kitchen, one of the pictures you will see color of wood versus the one that would belong to this product which is a light gray but both are pictured just trying to show you different ways you can use it. Super super easy it's very very thin wood and it has three strips of adhesive tape that once you put that on your area, there is no chance of that falling off they include black stickers because some of the pieces would have a knot hole in it so you just put that sticker on the wall first before you put the piece of wood up there and that just goes to show you that they thought of everything. I would 100% recommend any of these products to you. I love them!

Easy and beautiful way to panel a gap around an interior door frame. Done in 3 minutes, versus 2 hours of drywall installation! I had a 7” gap between the wall and my laundry room door frame that the builder left exposed. These peel and stick Timberchic panels are just the ticket to easily cover that space, and they are thin enough to fit behind the doorway framing, so two 4” widths did not need cutting or trimming. I know the directions are to apply this over a wall treatment such as drywall, but it was just too easy to only remove the adhesive backing for contact with my exposed 2x6 beams. The Timberchic wood is coated with a cleanable satin clear finish. My pack came with 5 full 42 inch lengths, plus a variety of shorter lengths to make a total of 9 boards, 4” wide, 42” long.

You are going to love this stuff, and I mean really love it. When you first open it and see the look, you are going to be excited. I was. And when you see that it comes with double sticky tape pre-installed, you are going to realize that this is an easy way to go! It is already finished, you can see the unfinished wood on the back and see it is real wood. It isn't thick wood, so it is easy to cut. The grain and knots are real, and so cool looking. You feel a sense of confidence when you read the instructions. Prepare the wall so it isn't sticking to dirt, and put it into place. Need to cut it, no worries. It comes with smaller planks and bigger planks so you can fit it into spaces more easily without needing to cut it. It is a beautiful product, with a big look to it, and so easy to install. Where was this stuff 20 years ago? This is amazing and I'm so glad to have had the opportunity to see it first hand and work with it.
