    Q:Can this be used for/on veneers ?
    by|Dec 10, 2021
    1 Answer
    Answer This Question

A:  Yes, Titebond Original can be used for veneers. If you don't have a press, you can also use Titebond Original as an iron-on-veneer adhesive. To do this, apply adhesive on both the back side of the veneer and on the substrate and allow it to dry. Then take an iron on cotton setting and working from the middle to the edges, bond the veneer. Use a brown paper bag as a cover to keep the iron from scorching the veneer.

      Answer This Question

A:  I have used it for many years around my kids and cats and dogs with no problem I don"t think I would want to eat or drink it in any way or use it in contact with food!

      by|Dec 29, 2022

A:  Titebond Original, Titebond II and Titebond III have been tested and shown to be non-toxic and all three adhesives can be used for articles intended for indirect food contact. We don't recommend eating these adhesives, but when used properly, they pose no risks to family and pet health.

Okay Home Depot! You saved me a trip to the store. Thanks
Came fresh and unaffected. I can tell it had not been frozen or sitting too long on a shelf.

This is just about the only glue I use for woodworking. The only time I dont is when I have a special need like a shorter or longer open time, or for a specialty application...and then Titebond has a glue for that! The glue strength is actually more than the wood its bonding so in many applications you can eliminate fasteners or at least greatly reduce them. It cleans up easy, goes on easy and spreads without issue. And its sandable. Plus, it does not have any noxious odor. My son is smell sensitive and told me he very much enjoys working with it because it smells good to him. If you need product support, they are extremely responsive both on the phone and on line. Titebond...the only wood glue I use.

We are putting in hard wood floor from scratch with scrap wood that still has many years life left to it. We used this to lay pieces before nailing to make sure that's how we wanted it. Needless to say it holds extremely strong.. couldn't move a board after drying. Turned out amazing and we are using again for another room.

          Couldn't try it out
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wish I could have tried this product as I love to do art projects; however when it arrived to my house it was busted and oozing in the package. I couldn't salvage any of it. It was either glued shut or or wet in the package

A Little Goes A Long Way
Titebond Original is efficient without waste and the nozzle is contoured perfectly to slide through the grooves in the tongue in grooves construction of woodworking. It was the adhesive used during my project of assembling a maple entry bench. It bonds beautifully without mess.
