A:Â Google does old gas go bad in lawnmower. Once gasoline is pumped at your local gas station you have between thirty and sixty days before it goes bad. Once your gasoline has reached its expiration date it will start to have an adverse effect on your equipment.
This Toro fuel treatment is meant to be added to good gas to keep your engine running clean. It works great for that purpose.
I would use a hand pump and remove this bad gas. New gas may do the trick.
I have successfully used Gumout Carb and Choke Cleaner to clean the carburetor and aid in starting my mower.
If not, check your spark plug.

A:Â It is easy to use. Just pull the measure off the neck of the container, flip the lid of the measure open, pour the needed amount for you gas mixture into the measure and then pour the fuel treatment into the gas can. There are marks for 1/2 oz, 1 oz and 1 1/2 oz.

Answer This Question
A:Â I've used both Stabil and Toro fuel treatments. The Toro product is MUCH better, and really stabilizes and CLEANS the carb. To get full carb cleaning, double the amount of Toro product, as per the instructions. Enjoy.

A:Â We recommend using Toro Premium Fuel Treatment but you can use other brands as long as it is fuel treatment for a 4-cycle engine. Thank you.

Answer This Question
A:Â If your lawmower calls for it, it is added to the fuel before putting it in the mower. Your instruction manual should tell you how many ounces per gallon to gasoline ratio. You will want to do this in a gas can. Oil is added to the oil reservoir.

A:Â You will add 1/2 oz of fuel treatment per 1 gallon of fresh gasoline. This should be mixed in your gas container each time you will be adding new gas to the machine. Do not add the fuel treatment directly into the machine. Simply mix the treatment in with fresh gas and then add this mixture into the machine.
If you have a 4-cycle engine, there will be one place for the fuel and another location for the oil. In this case, you will not add additional treatment to the oil.
Although, if you have a 2-cycle engine, the gas and fuel will be mixed together with the fuel treatment.

A:Â It is good for the engine. It dissolves the residues. Add 1/2 oz x gallon. The machine must have oil. In theory the oil change is not necessary.

A:Â This is added to gas. This product comes with a measuring cup and the directions tells you how much to add per gallon. Maybe an ounce per gallon? Read it, maybe it's 2 ounces. In mid November, I add fuel treatment in a portable gas tank. Then I go to the gas station and fill 1 gallon. This is more than enough for a Chicago winter.
In April I empty the remaining fuel into the portable gas tank. Then I pour it into my car gas tank.

excellent additive
When my Toro zero turn mower started experiencing hard starting and ran a little rough when starting, I bought this fuel treatment and I immediately saw improvement. I just added it to my gas tank. All good.
