Cheap rear wheels and pull chord
Noticeably cheap components on this Toro. Very disappointed in the quality of this lawn mower.
    Would buy again!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Cuts grass great and easy to use. Easy to assemble.

On my first use, I was mowing under bushes, a branch caught the air cleaner cover, flipped it off and before I realized it, ran over it. Previous mowers had covers held on with screws. Toro and Briggs and Stratton thought the flimsy plastic clips would do. I wrote Toro and got a reply telling me to contact Briggs to get a new part. No addressing the design issue, offering a solution, or give me a part number (Briggs doesn’t share that info with Toro). I bought a Toro mower, not a Briggs mower, it will be the only one I buy.

22" Variable Speed High Wheel Mower
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Still early on but so far I'm liking the TORO Mower. I've only cut our lawn twice and we're on flat lands here in MD, the true test will come as the season goes on and i start to cut our 1/3 acre 3 times a week. the walk behind pace is perfect for me at 6 ft 4 inch... However the ergonomics of the hand safety and power engagement lever for a person with smaller hands could take getting used to.

      Didn’t meet expectations
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ended up returning the mower because the bagger was spewing out grass clippings everywhere. It’s unfortunate because the mower ran well. This would have been my second Toro.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are sorry to hear you have returned your machine as we would have been happy to provide you with assistance. Our Customer Care Team would have sent you out a Foam Seal Kit to help prevent your the clippings from falling out of the bagger. If this didn't help the issues, your machine had a 2 year warranty that protects against all manufacturing defects. An Authorized Service Dealer would have been able to assist in providing an inspection on your machine. We hope to gain back your business in the future. If you have any questions, please contact our Customer Care Tam at Toro.com/support.

Disappointed about this mower and Toro
Had an older model and like it. Got this today and it runs well but disappointed that grass blows from the top and bottom the bag. The bag also fell off a couple times. Not as sturdy as the old model. Will return it this weekend and get a Ryobi I think.
      Response from ToroMar 21, 2022
Craig, thank you for giving us your feedback. For future consideration, we offer a complimentary foam seal kit that may help prevent the grass clippings from blowing out of the grass bag. Excellent lawn mower ladies!
I’m a 41 year old woman, and have a huge yard to mow. So I ended up buying this lawn mower from Home Depot back in 2015. As of today, 6/20/21, its still going strong! Absolutely love it! No issues whatsoever.

          Good homeowner value
My first Toro Model 20331 lasted 10 years before the transmission developed problems, the engine, etc, were still in good shape however I decided to upgrade to the latest Model # 21378. I have used it twice since purchasing: It is 16 lbs lighter than the older model. Part of the weight difference can be attributed to a smaller Briggs/Stratton engine on the new model: 150CC compared to the old 190CC. But I suspect the deck may be of a different composition, hence, more weight difference. The 150CC does a good job when using the grass catcher when cutting dry grass; have not tested with wet grass. The gas tank on the new model is smaller than the old model. Now, after 30 minutes of continuous mowing, the tank is dry. The grass-catcher holding rod which fits into the V brackets on either side of the mower, is shorter than it should be. Consequently, it won't "lock into" the V brackets and can fall out when mowing although I have not experienced that problem so far. For me, with a 4300 sq ft lawn, the mower is a good fit, although having to re-fill the gas tank before completing a mow is an inconvenience. The self-propelled is good. And it is advertized as a "No Oil Change" mower, one just tops-off when needed. I will certainly change the oil after my first several mows knowing that debris may be produced by the new engine. After that, maybe just every other year. The larger rear wheels provide excellent maneuverability. Toro offers an option of a slightly larger Honda engine at 160CC .

Overall, I really like this new lawnmower. Cuts a large swath @ 22 in. Seems to be great on gas mileage as well. Easy start, 1st or 2nd pull every time. Verdicts not in yet regarding the white bag..why white? Front wheel drive is definitely different to get used to even though it seems to perform well in general, it's traction gets questionable in uneven terrain. (That may just be me adapting to it, or maybe it needs a different traction design on the tires) I would recommend it easily to most, with maybe the exception of those who have uneven terrain in their lawns where rear wheel drive would most probably perform better.
