I really like this hedge trimmer. I was using a shorter, corded trimmer and this is a huge upgrade to that. I have used it weekly now in the backyard, cutting back shrubs and overgrowth. The blades are sharp and so far seem to be very strong. I’ve caught them on some thick branches, but I haven’t had any noticeable damage to the trimmer yet. There are two switches required for operation, so both hands have to be on the trimmer to get it to turn on. Plus, the actual trigger has its own safety before being able to move. It’s a lot of safety, but both switches work well.
The handle rotates, so the blades can be set to a 90 degree position, right or left. It helps when I’m cutting back the ever growing vines behind my fence. Instead of twisting my hands and arms to hold the blades vertically, I just turn the handle and the blades point the right direction. The only issue with the trimmer is that the button for rotating the handles is near the place where your thumb sits when you hold the trigger. Sometimes I forget which button does what and I end up spinning the handle / blades instead of starting the blades operating. Not a big deal, but it annoys me when it happens.
I’ve charged the battery once. It’s a big battery and it lasts quite a while. The battery has a handle on the back. It’s a small thing, but the design of the handle allows for one hand removal of the battery. You can just push the release, pull the battery and throw it on the charge. Maybe not that impressive of a feature, but it’s well designed and I appreciate it - a lot.
The trimmer is a little heavy, but no heavier than a gas powered model would be. It’s cordless and convenient; the weight doesn’t much bother me.

Toro Flex-Force 24 in. 60-Volt Max Lithium-Ion Cordless Hedge Trimmer - 2.5 Ah Battery and Charger Included. Easy to use but this thing is pretty heavy. You will get a work out from it. The push button feature allows you to twist the body/trimmer 90 degrees right or left. Safe guard in place for starting it as well. Instead of using just one switch, you need to use a combination of buttons to start it. Quiet operation and sharp blades. But this was a bit too much for me. Most of my trimming was about chest high, and it got heavy quick. I ran it for about 30 minutes trimming and had power to spare..

The FLEX-FORCE 24 IN. 60-VOLT MAX LITHIUM-ION CORDLESS HEDGE TRIMMER - 2.5 AH BATTERY AND CHARGER INCLUDED is another high-quality product from TORO. At first I was a bit worried that with such a large battery, this hedge trimmer would be too heavy to maneuver easily. Wrong, it is very easy to hold and use for long period of time without fatigue to my arms. The battery is suppose to last up to 75 minutes, but with such sharpe blades I’ve been able to trim bushes much faster than with my old hedge trimmer. You can’t go wrong with Toro products, I’m very please with this line.

Outstanding - The Toro Flex-Force cordless hedge trimmer is one powerful tool! When they say it has 3/4 inch cutting capacity they mean it. Fortunately there are some really well thought out safety features that make sure accidents are less likely to happen - like you have to have both hands on the tool in the right place for it to operate. I also found the hedge trimmer to be well balanced with the battery in place. We took on a large landscaping project last year and expect to have plenty of trimming to do as the season progresses. Just to put the Toro hedge trimmer through is paces, I went through a wild blueberry thicket with no issues. and then onto some white pine saplings. These things grow like weeds around here and they are a lot of work to keep after. The Toro cut through them like nobody's business. I really like the way the head rotates on the handle so you can trim both vertically and horizontally without twisting into awkward positions. I already have some of the other Flex-Force tools and have bee very pleased with them as well and will be purchasing more as existing tools come up for replacement. The Flex-Force is a really good tool system and its a huge plus that the batteries are interchangeable from tool to tool.

If you want a beast of a hedge trimmer then this is for you with a 60 volt battery you have plenty of power. I have some evergreens that needed trimming badly..This did a great job on them. Can't wait for summer to do some serious trimming on some areas of the lawn. Like the fact that it has a guard to install over the cutting blades on it. Charging time is pretty good.

This hedge trimmer is large enough and powerful enough to handle most any trimming job. It’s a little heavier than a corded one because of the battery, but it’s still very easy to handle. It’s also nice not to have to deal with a cord. The handle actually rotates and locks into different positions to make it more comfortable for holding and cutting at different angles.
There is a safety mechanism that prevents you from accidentally starting it just by grabbing it. The trimmer also shuts off automatically if you let go of the handle.
The blades came sharp and lubricated well. There is a hole on the end piece for hanging it in storage. It also comes with a plastic sleeve that covers the blades when not in use.
The battery has indicator lights to show you how charged it is and the charger can be wall mounted if you want.
The trimmer ran very consistent with no fluctuations in power and made quick work of my hedges. I was able to all 5 large and 10 small hedges without using up the battery, so I think for any regular home use the battery life is plenty long.

Excellent power, run-time, and cut action. To get those features means a large heavy battery.
There is a lot to like about this new Toro hedge trimmer. The power rivals gas powered units. The blades on the cutter were sharp and did a better job cutting than my corded hedger. But to get those 60 volts and 2.5 Ah out of this unit means a lot of cells in the battery. And that means weight. Yes it’s heavy (9.9 lbs with battery by my scale). More than double the weight of my corded hedger (but less than the 11.1 lb Kobalt 80v). The Toro is well balanced and much easier to handle over a corded trimmer. I trimmed an 75 ft long 6 foot tall hedge and several bushes (see photos) and used just half the battery. I was also impressed with the charger. I topped off the battery after that job in just 30 minutes. Price wise the Toro is right in the mix with the others (Ego, Kobalt, Echo, etc) at $199 with a single battery (March 2020). I rate this Toro a solid ‘B’.

This hedge trimmer is a beast. Heavy with big 60 volt battery inserted. If you have back or arm issues, this may not be the tool for you, due to it's size and weight. Once you get used to the weight, you'll find it's ergonomically designed very well. Handles and grips are right where I'd want them to be. You can rotate the handle either right or left, with the push of the blue button on the top of the handle. You'll see this feature in the pictures. Made with safety in mind. You are forced to use both hands to turn it on. You have to push in the left or right side button, then the hold the back handle trigger and the front auxiliary handle trigger to operate. Either hand comes off, it stops quickly. Fairly simple once you've done it a few times. The battery connects and disconnects from the trimmer easily. The charger is sturdy and free standing, or can be mounted on a wall. It's winter so I had little to test it on, but did test it quickly on a Photinia, and it sliced thru it like butter. I gave it 3 bars for "Ease of use" as this is such a big tool, not everyone will be able to use it.

This is a clever design that allows you to turn the body of the trimmer 90 degrees either to the left or right which makes it easier to trimmer large or small shrubs. The 24 inch hedge trimmer has a 60v 2.5AH battery that will out last the normal home owners time to trim. The total weight of the hedge trimmer with the battery is about 10 pounds so it will cause early fatigue for the average person but I use a larger trimmer that is 15 pounds with a extension so for me this is a upgrade. The blades are very sharp plus they are self sharpening as the blades work back and fourth. The Flex-Force system allows you to use other power tool in the series. The machine also has a few safety features that seem to work good together like not being able to rotate the body when the trigger is on.
