These skid shoes are heavy duty and quality made
I purchased these skid shoes to replace the original one-sided steel shoes on my Toro Model 824. The original steel shoes wore down fast and left scrape marks on my concrete driveway. I like the fact they are reversible. The mounting hole pattern was a bit wider then the original, I was able to re-use one mounting hole but had to drill one new hole for mounting each shoe. I also had to fabricate and install 1/4 plastic spacers between the steel housing and the new shoes, this extra thickness required longer bolts then those provided - I recommend stainless steel. Overall I feel it was worth the effort to convert to these poly shoes, time will tell how well they perform and last. Good Luck!
