Toro Power Curve 18 in. 15 Amp Electric Snow Blower is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 698.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little snow blower The Toro 1800 is a real workhorse. I got it to deal with storms under 6", when our plow guy does not do my long driveway, and as I don't have room to store a large gas blower. When we got the first blizzard a few weeks ago, about a foot deep, I decided to give it try before the plow guy came. It did a great job. A little trouble at the bottom of the driveway where the town plow piled it up, but otherwise, it took care of the snow. Very impressive. We've had 3 significant storms so far this winter, and the Power Curve has done a terrific job each time. You need to manage the power cord of course, and take it easy when the snow is deeper than the front of the blower, but it got thru it all. Just remember, as others have said, it is not as powerful as a gas snow thrower (and no idea yet how it will deal with wet snow), and it does not throw snow 30' or whatever they claim, but far enough to get it out of the driveway. Strongly recommend this electric blower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for... Small and Powerful Snow blower Had never used a snow blower and did not wanted to shovel out yesterday. Picked this up from the Home Depot and am very pleased with the results. Positives: • Small and Quiet • Lightweight, my spouse gave it 2 thumbs up! • No maintenance like Gas and • Took me <5 mins to setup and was ready for use • Could clear medium snow fall… I used to for 6” and was perfect • Throws at a pretty good distance… Cons: • The wheels are small, slightly bigger ones could have done the trick • Expect to go through twice if you have snow higher than the 9”. For me these were the areas with high drifts near the street. • Took me a few mins before getting used to lugging the extension cord around. Finally, I threw the entire cord over the lawn and that got it out of my way on the driveway. I like it so far and am happy. More feedback in a few weeks, expecting snow this evening. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I owned a power curve for 18 years! 15 of them cleared a 2.5 car driveway and corner lot. Finally... I owned a power curve for 18 years! 15 of them cleared a 2.5 car driveway and corner lot. Finally deciding to go with the new/updated model in 2019 because some key parts needed to be replaced. This model will do the job if you work it properly. It isn't as strong as a gas powered machine but will get the job done if you're willing to not push it too hard in deep snow. It does struggle with heavy /wet now and iced in end of driveways after the plows come through. The cord is troublesome at times, especially in sub zero temps, but still easier than maintenance of a gas powered unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliably Does the Job I live in Minnesota where we get a lot of snow every winter. I've used mine for 15 years and it has worked great with no problems. Never had more snow than this machine could handle, and there have been times when the snow was quite deep. It was great not having to worry about whether or not it would start. Easy to use. No complaints at all. I will never go back to using a gasoline powered snow blower.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handy in a storm I prefer electric appliances because they are always ready to go, need no maintenance and pollute less. In the recent storm I was up and running while our neighbor's gas powered blower was out of service. The Toro handles moderate size storms with ease. I can't tell you the exact break point but it cuts through 6-10 inches with ease. When the snow gets near the top end of the range you may have to hit the bank twice to clear the snow. In this service your biceps will be tired after plowing and uphill is definitely more work (but far better than shoveling). When the banks get much higher you will have to use a shovel to knock them down and then the Toro will throw them out of the way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great snow blower on our new deck last winter We contracted a person to install a newer composite deck. I bought this snowblower with the thought in mind that it might be easier on the deck surface then a larger gas snowblower. I couldn’t be happier. I even left it on the deck fully wrapped from the elements. As I anticipated, a great product from Toro

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great snow thrower! I've owned one of these for 20 years and it's great! I have a 110' x 30' driveway and was thinking of getting a gas thrower, but my dad always had problems with his, it leaked oil & every year it seemed he would have to get a $150 worth of work done on it, new gaskets, plug and the carburetor cleaned...this one, none of that stuff! plug it in and it always works. I've even used it on 3' drifts using the handle. 9" of snow, no problem... If you know it will be a big storm, go out and snow throw it every 6-8", it's quiet so I have even used it at 11pm at night with out waking the neighbors! I have a high 6' stone wall on one side of my driveway, this sucker shoots the snow right over it most of the time, unless its a really light powdery snow (which blows all over the place) or supper wet slush, which I then just blow it down the driveway until the wall is a little lower & I can shoot over it.. I would recommend a 12 gauge extension cord if you need 100'. Some folks say the cord is a pain, it's not that bad, I just keep it to one side all the time (usually the right side or clean side) When I'm done I use an AC cord reel to keep it manageable. I found the best way to do a driveway is first doing 2 passes along the wind side the full length of the driveway & then doing 45 deg. passes with the wind from behind you, which will keep the snow off your face! Hope this helps!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I don’t like the safety switch button. If you don’t... I don’t like the safety switch button. If you don’t know that pulling up on the handle turns it on you shouldn’t be using it.
