I've been using this Toro Power Curve 1800 Electric Snow blower here in VT for the past ten years. It's a great little unit. It's very lightweight at 24 pounds, very easy to handle. The only thing to keep uppermost in your mind when you're using it is where is the cord. It will suck up 50 feet of extension cord in no time flat. It didn't cut or damage the cord in any visible way but it took about two hours to get the cord untangled. Six years ago I dug an 80 foot long trench in drifted, three foot deep snow to get to a heating oil tank for a delivery at the rear of the mobile home our son lived in at the time. It only took about half an hour. Place the blower on top of the snow in front of you, grab the handle to turn it on, pull back then push forward and repeat until the blower reaches the ground. Then do the same thing over and over until you reach your goal.

Got to use my new Power Curve the other day on about 5-6" of wet snow and it worked great. It even did the end of my driveway which I was very surprised. I did have to go over a couple of times in some spots but no big deal. I'm a 69 year old woman. I did buy a 15 amp all weather extension cord, it stays flexible. That also was well worth the it.

I do wish width was larger than 18 in. Up until now I had been just using it on the deck and sidewalks, but today was the true test of this little 25 lb. blower. My bf's big gas one wouldn't blow snow. Perhaps a bad belt. And we used this to clear a 100 ft. plus driveway with 5 1/2 in. of fresh snow!!

This product worked satisfactory for 3 years, but started having problems with randomly stopping and not starting again. I'm now past the 5 year mark for this product and it has completely stopped working and I'm now needing to replace it. It's a relatively inexpensive blower that works well for very small jobs. While it was working, I enjoyed the low-maintenance and quick start-up aspect of this corded product. That being said, looking back, I wish I would have spent more for a quality product that was gas-powered, as the task of positioning a cold drop cord in the snow while navigating a driveway is an exercise in keeping one's composure.

I was surprised how easy tit is to move the blower around since it is so light. I have used it for mostly lighter snow, but some heavier packed. It is great for a quick cleaning around the garage or house , on the deck , places not easily plowed. Only drawback is working around the cord and how it fastens to blower, it sometimes will come loose...however it is so simple to restart the bloer..just hold handle and push button..so easy that you will start and stop it many times as it is easier to pull backwards when not running. It will throw sand or rocks with the the snow...so far very happy, hope it lasts a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best money I ever spent Bought this a few years ago to clean off deck. My gas snowblower wouldn't to up the steps. At first I thought it looked like a toy and had my doubts. NO more. Works great. I have moved snow that was almost five feet high off the deck with this thing. My deck is 25 X 8 and the snow builds up on it becasue I have solar panels and it all comes down at once. When the snow is rock hard and over a foot or so I do have to push the machine, but it beats shoveling. JNust recommended one to a friend. Can't say enough about it. If you are considering buying one, do it. This is an unsolicited review. I usually don't do them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from highly dependable I had one of these for close to ten years(or it's predecessor!), it always started, it never quit until I shut it off, and it handled every blessed thing I threw at it, some times higher than the throat of the machine, It never cried Uncle. When I moved I gave it to my son. The big thing with any corded equipment is getting used to the cord, takes a few times to work out your routine and then that's it, it's not like you are going to only use this a few times, so routines work well. Tie your extension cord to the handle and the plug wont pull out. I'm going out to buy another right now.
