Power Curve 18 in. 15 Amp Electric Snow Blower is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 693.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from I regret buying this model I bought mine at the end of Dec '16. I only used it a few times. The next winter it stopped working. While still under warranty, I received a replacement, which I did not use for the remainder of the winter 17-18 because no snow. This winter, I unpacked the replacement. It worked well for the first 3 times. Then the fourth time it did not start at all. I called Toro support, but since the warranty has lapsed they won't fix or replace again. In my view: - A 2-yr warranty is not enough for a product that is used sparingly and only during winter season. You will use the product only a few times before the warranty expires. - Even assuming this were a quality product, an electric snowblower might appear less expensive, but you will need a 14awg or 12awg power cord. These are pricey. You end up paying almost the same for the power cord alone. - It is impractical to be carrying around and moving away the power cord, and avoiding yourself getting tangled with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little snow blower The Toro 1800 is a real workhorse. I got it to deal with storms under 6", when our plow guy does not do my long driveway, and as I don't have room to store a large gas blower. When we got the first blizzard a few weeks ago, about a foot deep, I decided to give it try before the plow guy came. It did a great job. A little trouble at the bottom of the driveway where the town plow piled it up, but otherwise, it took care of the snow. Very impressive. We've had 3 significant storms so far this winter, and the Power Curve has done a terrific job each time. You need to manage the power cord of course, and take it easy when the snow is deeper than the front of the blower, but it got thru it all. Just remember, as others have said, it is not as powerful as a gas snow thrower (and no idea yet how it will deal with wet snow), and it does not throw snow 30' or whatever they claim, but far enough to get it out of the driveway. Strongly recommend this electric blower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for... Small and Powerful Snow blower Had never used a snow blower and did not wanted to shovel out yesterday. Picked this up from the Home Depot and am very pleased with the results. Positives: • Small and Quiet • Lightweight, my spouse gave it 2 thumbs up! • No maintenance like Gas and • Took me <5 mins to setup and was ready for use • Could clear medium snow fall… I used to for 6” and was perfect • Throws at a pretty good distance… Cons: • The wheels are small, slightly bigger ones could have done the trick • Expect to go through twice if you have snow higher than the 9”. For me these were the areas with high drifts near the street. • Took me a few mins before getting used to lugging the extension cord around. Finally, I threw the entire cord over the lawn and that got it out of my way on the driveway. I like it so far and am happy. More feedback in a few weeks, expecting snow this evening. :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Two machines quit after limited use I purchased the first machine 12/30/16 and was able to use it a few times in 2017 and a couple of times in 2018 when it quit in mid January. That machine was replaced under warranty and the replacement was used maybe twice that year when it then died the first time I used it in January 2019. Toro said “warranty is up; too bad.” I used the machines on a very small driveway that will accommodate only two cars. I cannot endorse this product nor Toro’s replacement policy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Durable and moves lots of snow Am using my third one (just bought it the other day) in over twenty years). Very durable and moves lots of snow. Of course, the problem with even the new one is the "safety" button. I find that again, you have hold the blue button in while running the blower. Simply, pushing in the button then pulling up the handles does NOT allow the unit to keep running. I thought that Toro would have fixed this ongoing problem years ago as my older ones also had the same problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It shoots the snow ..I love this!! I had an old Toro power shovel at least 20 years! It was a great help however after time and hard work it died in the driveway. So I ordered a new Toro on a Friday nt. Monday at noon it arrived at the back door. The weather was poor and the driveway 1/2 full of snow. I dragged the box into the kitchen, set it up and read everything. The next morning like a child with a new toy I started working with it. Love it, fun and saves the back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Inexpensive for several years of use I have used Toro 18" electric snowblowers for several years to clear a driveway which can hold 6 cars and a small parking lot which holds up to 8 cars. It's great for light snow up to 6" or even heavy snow if used at half width. Lightwieght and dependable using 12 gauge 100' extension cord. Lasts 3-5 years with no service or repairs necessary. My current one is 7 years old but there were several mild winters.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handy in a storm I prefer electric appliances because they are always ready to go, need no maintenance and pollute less. In the recent storm I was up and running while our neighbor's gas powered blower was out of service. The Toro handles moderate size storms with ease. I can't tell you the exact break point but it cuts through 6-10 inches with ease. When the snow gets near the top end of the range you may have to hit the bank twice to clear the snow. In this service your biceps will be tired after plowing and uphill is definitely more work (but far better than shoveling). When the banks get much higher you will have to use a shovel to knock them down and then the Toro will throw them out of the way.
