A:Â Hi, Greg! Thanks so much for your question. Yes, this unit #38361, uses rotor #112-1588. To replace the rotor, use a 9/16-inch wrench to remove the bolt on the side of the housing, remove the old rotor from the housing and install the new rotor in the housing by inserting the end of the rotor onto the fitted end in the housing and rotating the rotor until it snaps into position. Then tighten the bolt on the side of the housing. You can view more information on page 6 of the manual at: https://www.toro.com/getpub/161128. Thanks!

A:Â Hi, there! Thanks for your question. We do not recommend attempting to clear snow from a gravel or crushed rock surface with this shovel, as it is intended for use only on paved surfaces. Thanks!

Fragile will easily break
After only a year, already broken, the middle of the handle shaft is made out of plastic and will break making this tool useless, save your money avoid this product.

Works better than expected
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this blower for 6 years. Has never failed me. I’ve got a 75ft by 35ft drive way and this year we had 8 inches of snow and it worked like a charm. I have always used a 100ft 14 gage cord and it has plenty of power. This year the handle clamp broke but I just cut the tabs off and fixed with a hose clamp.

I was happy to get the chance to use the Toro Power Shovel during the first snowfall of the year. I purchased this product to make clearing the deck easier. It worked perfectly as described. The snow was easily thrown outside of the deck. The bottom of the shovel did not scratch our brand new deck. It doesn't work so well for clearing the stairs, it's a big cumbersome for what is easy enough to do with a regular shovel. For the rest of the deck, I highly recommend this product.

I bought this for my wife to use on our long brick walk while I used the snow blower on our driveway. We finally had enough of a snowfall to use this product, and since I'm on a business trip, she sent me a photo of the driveway, cleared with little 12" paths. Not our normal way to clear snow, but the tool does its job.

Don't underestimate this shovel.
I will admit, I was hesitant to give this one a shot, but it was the only thing in stock before the 2016 blizzard.
First things first, you need this to understand this is a power shovel, not a slow blower. I think some reviews take away because it's missing some features you would expect on a larger, more expensive blower. This thing went right through 6" snow as claimed, throwing it quite a good distance. Even after it started tuning to slush, it still threw it enough to manage. I was even able to tame the lovely mountain VDOT leaves at the end of the driveway when you're done shoveling. You can still start at the top of deeper snow and work your way down, just make sure it hasn't turned to ice inside. The only real drawback is the wind blowing the dust back in your face is pretty cold, you can however, just turn in the other direction. Did pretty good for my driveway going side to side as not to re shovel the same snow.

Beating the Blizzard of 2016
Got this shovel just before the blizzard of 2016. We had 28 inches here in Brooklyn NY and the shovel met the challenge with ease. Two neighbors took it for a 'test drive' during the storm and went to buy one! It's made for up to 6" of snow but handled a few inches more than that without lifting the thing. And when I did lift it to blow away the top few inches of snow, it was light and not an issue. I even blew the snow over my car, parked in the driveway, from front to rear to get my car out. The one issue I had was the screw that holds the adjustable handle in place, vibrated out. I contacted Touro customer service and they quickly sent me a replacement free of charge, as a courtesy. Excellent customer service! I will fix that problem with a piece of tape over the screw. This is well worth the price.

Made for a lady !
The Toro electric snow shovel is just right for a petite, single lady over 65 like myself ! It sat 2 years in my gargage during Kansas' 2 dryest winters on record and then.. 2013 brought us 12" the 21st of Feb. and 5-6" the 25th. The 12" snow was too deep for Toro product to make a dent so used regular shovel but finished my drive in no time on 5-6" snow. All my neighbors just sat inside and watched me "go to town" with my Toro. Very easy to handle and did not ice or clog up at all ! Very happy with the purchase.

Great tool for smaller jobs, but can tackle big ones
We had over a foot of snow yesterday. I didn't think the small blower could handle that much snow. It actually did clear some of the deep snow. But the job was too big to do a lot. I cleared some of my driveway and my sidewalk, but with the cold and the deep snow I decided to do the job in stages. While I was inside warming up, my neighbor who owns a much bigger, gasoline, self propelled snow blower came over and finished my driveway. This morning their was at least another inch of snow which the small Toro could handle with ease.
