I bought this mower in April 2020 and have used it at least 8 times. Things I like: it is very quiet, it starts every time at the push of a button, I can mow my 3000 sq ft yard with a single charge. Things I dislike: it does not cut the lawn evenly so you may need to go over it twice, this is especially true if you let the grass grow a bit taller than normal, it doesn't pick up the clippings nearly as well as advertised, the seal between the frame of lawnmower and the clippings bag has gaps and clippings escape through those. I wish I would have gotten a different mower. I went for Toro thinking the brand was enough. It wasn't for me. I do take pride in my lawn so I am probably more picky than the average homeowner.

So happy I purchased it
Customer review from toro.com logo
I've owned gas powered Toro years ago, replaced it with a competitor and regretted the purchase. The personal pace self propelled is unmatched. Other mowers; "you mow the lawn", with Toro; "you walk behind the mower". Our lawn is residential but rough and bumpy. This was my 1st mow with the 60V model. I treated it no different than the old mower, running over sticks, and letting the bag fill to the max. It worked flawless!!! The larger wheels made the bumpy yard easier to mow. The cleanup was super easy, I really like the garden hose connection. I'm storing the mower in the garage without any stinky yard waste smell, or gas smell. This is the 1st mower I've ever seen that I can freely say I'd have no issue mowing at 6am, knowing I would not bother the neighbors. It's not loud at all. I am extremely happy with this mower purchase. I also purchased the PUC to keep track of the usage of the mower. Get one if you have any Toro product! It's nice. I mowed, then opened my iPhone and uploaded the usage to the PUC app. It added some fun and useful usage data I'll enjoy keeping as I live with this mower.

I have been pleasantly surprised with my mowers performance, for reference my yard is between and eighth and a quarter acre, a separate front and fenced in back yard, the back is around 150x50 front approximately 40x35, back yard is very thick, I mow it once a week, the 60v 4ah battery fully charged lasts my entire more with about 1 bar remaining, I keep the mower on the second to highest setting out.back and third to lowest setting in the front yard and get nice quality visible stripes, the mower is really light and much quieter than a gas mower and cuts just as fine, i mulch mow for reference and do not even keep the bag attached,.the toro has a nice blade for mulch mowing and leaves a clean trail of clippings.

I would not recommend this model. I mows good. the motor works good. but I had issues with the rest of the unit. The front wheel axle broke so it would not hold the desired height and would drop the mower to the ground. Also the locking pins would not lock in place when you closed the mower for storage. Also the battery lid was stuck the first time I tried to open it and I almost broke it. If you really want a TORO I recommend to go up a tier and buy the 22 in. Recycler with the whole metal deck. I returned this unit the next day and picked up an EGO 21 in. Mower and so far It just works. with 5 year warranty.

(What's this)
This mower arrives almost fully assembled. All that’s needed is to remove the shipping materials, raise the handle, and charge the battery. Insert the start battery and the start button, and it’s ready to go. The mower is nice and solid, with much more weight than the plastic-decked mower it replaces. The weight helps it stay more solid when you pass over bumps in the yard; the plastic mower jumped a lot and it showed in the grass. I love that when switching from bagging to mulching, there is no mulch plug to find; the mulch plug is built into the bagger door. The wheels raise and lower with just one lever per end; not as handy as mowers with a single adjustment for the entire mower but much more convenient than adjusting each of the 4 wheels. I haven’t managed to discharge the battery yet. I mowed up dry leaves from last fall for over an hour and it hasn’t noticeably discharged. The issues I see with this mower include the non-adjustable handle; it folds, but has only one setting for height. As someone who likes a very high handle, this is a bit frustrating. The other issue is that the mower seems to have only one speed / power setting. It takes a bit longer to rev up than my old mower and doesn’t jump to a higher power when it gets bogged down. This wasn’t a problem with the mowing I’ve done so far, but I am concerned how it will work when the lawn gets heavy. Overall a very nice mower from a very reputable brand – well worth the price.

(What's this)
I've been hemming and hawing for some time about whether to jump into the world of electric mowers. I certainly didn't want to mess around with a mower that has a cord (how do you avoid running it over?), and I've been worried about battery length and power with battery-operated models. Toro talks a good game with the features on this mower, and so far, it lives up to the hype. The advantages of electric are pretty clear. In addition to being relatively eco-friendly, you don't have to mess around with gas, oil, spark plugs, air filters and so on. And this thing is super-quiet. You can easily have a conversation over the noise of the electric motor. The battery charges fully in a couple hours, and on my 1/4 acre lot, I can mow everything in about 30 minutes and still have ample charge left in the battery. My lawn hasn't been especially thick since using this mower yet, being winter in Florida, but so far it works very well. It flies right through the grass, and does as good a job at mulching tree leaves as my gas-powered mower does. It is quite lightweight and maneuverable. I do have some long-term concerns about the battery--replacement costs are very expensive. I'm hoping that the battery lasts several years and retains its charge capacity. If it continues to perform more or less as it does now, I'll be a very happy camper.

(What's this)
Ever since I sold my home and moved to Texas from Florida I have been using a Gas mower to take care of my lawn made by the same fine company as is this new Battery Operated push mower. You might ask why? Its rather simple as I have a small yard especially the back yard in which the weeds tend to shoot up and make the yard look ragged . I have tried to use the weed wacker , but it leave's an uneven appearance. So enter the battery driven mower and life has become simple again. Since the battery is in the wall mounted charger and ready I just pop it in and with virtually no noise or exhaust, and the back lawn looks perfect with little muss or fuss. Its quiet and efficient and really does a fine neat job. Compact and easy to store when not in use. Its just great.

(What's this)
This mower has a great size and weight to it. It feels solid and yet rolls easily. This a PUSH mower, NOT self propelled. This means it doesn't move unless YOU push it. The motor spins the blade ONLY. However, it pushes easily and its wide 21 inch deck means I make fewer passes to mow my yard. Add to this the ease of operation and your get a great mower for the money. I wanted to give up gas mowers because of the pain of yearly stowage / destowage maintenance (draining gas and oil, setting gaps on spark plugs, etc.) and the hassle of keeping a couple gallons of gasoline around the garage (the smell, fire hazard, adding stabilizers, etc.). Likewise, in use I didn't want the hassle of fighting extension cords with my first corded electric mower 20 years ago. This Toro has all the convenience and none of the hassle. It's quiet, has decent power and sufficient run time for my small yard and with the large wheels it is easy to push through the grass. While I can do my small yard (a little less than a 1/4 acre) on one charge, I do wish the battery had a higher amp hour rating as I can see when the battery starts showing signs of age i will have to purchase a second battery or pause my mowing to recharge. More amp hours would delay that expense / hassle. A 60v 6ah battery costs almost half as much as this mower kit which is typical of all brands. However, considering the amount of money you're saving on gasoline, and the time savings with easy maintenance I guess it isn't all that outrageous. One advantage to the smaller battery is that it is easy to handle for older and smaller people since the battery isn't as heavy as the larger 6 or 7.5 ah batteries. Recharge on the battery is between 1.5 to 2 hours depending on discharge level. If you order this online like I did and Home Depot ships this to you via XPO, make sure to check with the shipper to be sure that they have your contact information and not just your address. My mower sat at the distribution center for 3 days before I called to see why it hadn't arrived on the promised date. XPO won't deliver unless they can call and confirm you're going to be available to sign for the item.
