Product Overview
This weight kit is required to get the best performance of Toro attachments such as the Cargo Carrier (79030) or the Brinly-Hardy rear mounted spreader or sprayer. The weight balances the machine installed with an attachment. The kit contains one 35 lb. weight and the hardware needed to install it. Can be easily removed when the attachment is not in use. The weight kit is included with the TimeCutter baggers (see baggers for details)

AnswerThe weight kit does not fit on the front of that mower. A weight kit is not needed in the front for that mower for all Toro approved attachments and accessories.

AnswerThe weight kit includes a front weight and all the brackets and braces to mount it to the frame in a structural and functional way. It is required for use with the twin bagger and cargo carrier for lever steer models. It is meant to properly balance the weight in the back for safe operation. Any modifications performed that are not Toro recommended would void the warranty.

Received the riding lawn mower weight in reasonable time. Attached to mower per instructions. Works great! I can now mow areas with better control, because of the stability from the weight, increases contact for front wheel steering.
SW Series Weight Kit

This part will not fit on a model SW4200. I purchased kit to help offset the weight of my Cyclone Rake Vacuum attachment. I was lead to believe it would bolt on and it will not, mounting brackets not right.
I was able to modify mounting method and get it to work. this is not something your average person would be able to do. I had to fabricate my own mount bracket.

To assure continued safe operation, and optimum performance, we recommend that only recommended genuine replacement parts and accessories be utilized when necessary. Product modifications by non-authorized personnel and the use of non-genuine components are discouraged.
Poor quality control

Brackets bolted up fine but when I installed the weights I had to use a ball peen hammer to get the hold rod installed. The fit on the slot in the weight is very poor. You should not have to use any tools to install or remove the hold rod.
