Nice Decorative Ceiling Fan
A nice ceiling fan that looks good with nearly all ceiling colors. At 80 Cubic Feet per minute, it remove the moist air quickly. Probably best if used in "New-Work". The power consumption is rated at 28 watts for the fan and 16 watts for the light. The light would be compared to a 60 or 75 watt incandescent bulb. The light could be wired to be on an independent switch but in my “Old Work” installation the light and the fan would have to be on together. The motor should not be on a dimmable circuit. If this was “New-Work” installation, you could run the wires from two switches. I saw in the literature that this LED bulb could be dimmed. I tested the dimming with a compatible dimmer switch and the bulb could be dimmed from full-on to zero. The part of the light cover is translucent, but that ring does not get a lot of light from the lighted panel. This decorative trim is a nice decoration when the bulb is off. The light panel itself is a specialty and would have to be purchased from the vendor as it is not a “General” type of bulb. The bulb should not burn out soon as it is rated for 30,000 hours. At 4 hours a day, this would be 20+ years. I was curious about the speed of the wind under the bathroom door when the fan was on and the was door closed. At the rated 80 cubic feet per minute, the wind speed would be 4.2 mph (medium) with an one inch gap below the door and 8.4 mph (high) with a 1/2 “ gap. I test mounted the fan with a board that would represent the ceiling joist. The board in the picture is a 6” wide board. I would recommend an 8” or wider ceiling joist. The 6” ceiling joist would be fine if there is an attic above the ceiling but my ceiling does not allow enough room for installation. For “Old Work” installation a right-angle drill or flexible drill holder would be best to install and tighten the mounting screws. The wiring is based on push type connectors. For low wattage connection like this, these connectors work fine. They are a “one-time” use. Once both connector leads are connected to the wires, the wires cannot be removed from the connectors. That is fine when you realize you just cut the wires if you must to take it apart and use a new connector when reassembling. If there is just one wire connected, I was able to twist the connector counterclockwise and the wire was released. The wiring calls for a minimum of #14 wire. #12 also fits in the connectors I was unable to permanently mount the fan in my bathroom as there is a floor above the bathroom. I could not change out the 2” pipe to the recommended 4” size as my existing 2” pipe makes a right turn in the ceiling and comes out so I cannot swap to the proper sized pipe without tearing out the tiled ceiling over the shower for the exhaust pipe.

Classy Appearance with Plenty of Power
And it remains quiet. The squirrel cage fan is much more efficient at drawing air out of the room, than are radial impellor fans. Note these are used in central heating / cooling air movers. Photograph 1A shows how the fan draws air from all radial directions and ingeniously cools the motor as it passes over it. The unit is simple to mount to overhead framing. See photograph 1B. The instructions are replete. They address details of how to mount the fan/light, assure it is level and provide the proper sized hole in the ceiling finish. A much-appreciated convenience was the push-to-connect electrical connector already on each lead. See photograph 2A. Also, an added feature is that the light and fan can be separately switched. I like this because I put the fan on a timer and let it after-run once I leave the room. Doing so is much more effective about whisking out humidity after a shower. Working initially with just the mechanical portion of the fixture (See photograph 2B.) is convenient because then one can separately address the electrical installation. See photograph 3. Finally, the light head is connected to the motor unit with a simple 2-pole plug. See photograph 4. The light is attractive in its simplicity (See photograph 5.) and comports with the radial vents which entrain air from all directions. See photograph 6. The LED luminaire disperses light evenly without heat. A translucent accent light ring adds subtle harmony to its edges. The brushed nickel finish matches other appointments in the room. I installed this fixture in a dropped ceiling – and while it projects downward a bit, it hardly is more that the old “mostly flush” fan/light combo. This one is just as quiet and sweeps in air from ALL directions.

High quality
Much higher quality than I even expected! This is a round fixture but it fits in a square hole! Haha, or at least the box does and the round light covers it all. Seems to be well made, and with it being an LED I am looking forward to many years of never replacing lightbulbs again. Duct from the fan is an easy 4” which is the most common or the “normal”. I use a separate switch for the fan and light. But you can combine them into one switch just as easy. I so like these push in wire connectors they included, if you have solid copper you just push them in to make your electrical connection. Just make sure you get them all the way in, you cannot pull them back out, you have to cut them and go with regular wire nuts if you do.

Loaded with features and looks great
When choosing a bath fan I was looking for one that included a light but that looked great too. This fan fit the bill perfectly. The brushed finish matched my plumbing fixtures such as shower head and faucets and towel bars perfectly. While installation of a bath fan is never easy unless you have open attic access or you’re doing a new construction setting this fan installed as expected once the old fan was removed. To control the fan snd light separate you’ll need to run 2 switched hot wires along with a neutral snd ground leg. A dimmable switch compatible with led lighting can be installed to allow use of the dimmable light function. The 1.1 sone fan, while not the quietest available, was adequately quiet to not be disruptive. The light provided the perfect amount of brightness for my small bathroom. Overall I’m very happy with this fan.

Good Fan and Light
The Tosca exhaust fan and light is a simple device that works very effectively. The LED light is adequate and better than many combination fans with lights. The fan is very quiet and is hardly noticeable when on. The wiring allows you to install it with separate switches for the light and fan if desired. Installation is simple. It only requires a 7.5 inch square hole. The finish is very nice. The light fits snugly up against the ceiling. This unit adds a modern look to your room.

Looks great, works great!
I just installed my Tosca decorative bathroom exhaust fan. I was fortunate that I was already in the process of a remodel and was just replacing an old one. So it was fairly easy because there was power and a switch already existing. I also hooked it up to my old ductwork too. Nice thing with the fan is it looks modern and also has an led light. The manufacturer says this is a 80 CFM fan. Will draw out moisture in a small bathroom with no problems. Overall, I love the brush nickel finish and it is pretty quiet compared to my old exhaust fan.

Bathroom vent fan and light
Really a nice package LED dimmable light and a heavy duty vent fan. I have installed many of these types of vent fans but this one is much heavier duty than I have used before. The wiring is so clearly marked with push lock connectors already on the wires. The LED LED fixture is dimmable but I very rarely use that function. That requires a dimmer switch and I found it very rarely used. I like the polished finish on the light and the vents above look great. What a nice unit and I highly recommend it.

good looks, bad design
This fan does a excellent job of evacuating air and looks nice if you are directly below it but from the side, you can see the guts of the box and the ceiling opening. The designers recognized this on other fans this company makes and include decorative grills to conceal the guts. Too bad they didn't on this one too. The rep I talked to couldn't seem to understand the problem and I gave up explaining it. I am looking for a possible fix myself.

We love the look of this fan, it's quiet run. Installation wasn't too tough, either. Two drawbacks that drove my rating. One, the housing for the wiring is too small. I was eventually able to cram it all in, but a bit more space would really have been helpful. Two is that there's a loud click when the light is on. Maybe I messed something up during the install? I honestly don't know, but it's hard to imagine that there isn't a design flaw of some sort.
