Nice AC Unit
We purchased this window unit because this summer has been brutally hot! Our central air conditioner has been running non stop and still struggles to cool the house completely. We installed this in our living room area where we have a fireplace and vaulted ceiling. Really helps keep this large room cool. Remember to open the front and keep the filter clean. Also, keep the "fresh air" option button closed in the summer or bugs will get in through that opening outside.

1.5 months and it's stopped working
This was my last big purchase before moving in with my son to file disability and my ac unit has stopped working properly I can't go with out ac my brain condition will make me have a heat stroke

Perfect Fit, just Noisy
I like Toshiba and I Like this AC unit, works Beyond great so far had it for a Month now and I love it yes it's Noisy but as Long as it's Icy cold in my Room definitely have no complaints, but yes it's Noisy and I'd recommend a different U Shaped Unit if noise is a Concern! I put This unit through a Wall and it fit perfect I really like this AC unit looks so cool and works Great, definitely would like less noise!

the side grill is an invite for bugs and nests
AC works as expected. But I’m going to need to wrap the whole unit with screening to keep the bees and bugs from nesting in the unit. Horrible design for something that goes outdoors. That’s a problem with ordering online.

I've had this unit for a little over 2 months. I really like it. It cools the room quickly. I''m in a 500 sq.ft. efficiency and it is perfect for this room. I do wish the lowest fan setting was a little quieter, but it's not overwhelming. At night I put it on ECO mode and it comes on and off and keeps the room cool. Perfect for sleeping or watching tv. I really appreciate how easy it is to clean the filter and unit cover. The cover comes completely off, unlike many other units I've had. This makes it easy to clean. The fact that I can monitor the unit with my iPhone is pretty cool too. My only problem with that is that my Wi-Fi signal fluctuates and sometimes I can only look at the readings and not make any changes, but, when the signal is strong I can lower the temperature from anywhere I'm at and have the room cool before I get home. Pretty neat and it saves money too. Oh, and it was easy to install it into a wall. It doesn't have to be a window unit.

This ac doesnt shut off like it should, maybe a firmware issue. But you can set it to 74 snd wake up to it having adjusted itself ten degrees warmer id take it back but nobody has acs now

Really Good AC Unit
This Ac is very sleek looking, which was not a real concern for me at first, but I have come to really enjoy after using it for a week. So far so good, runs very cold, gets the room temperature down within an hour, and is relatively quiet. The installation was a bit combersome, as I have a universal braket that must be used on the second floor of the building. Wifi setup took a few tries, but now is the easiest to work and control when I am not home. I love this unit, would highly recommend!
Only downside was, I have a feeling this may have been a refurbised unit and sold as new from the retailer (although I love Home Depot and would hope not). The box came without any documentation for the product, no warranty, no user manual, not even instructions for assembly and mounting. The unit itself didnt look damaged, but the back (coils) seem to have been run already. Not thrilled with that aspect, but still enjoy the unit.

Cools powerfully, but quite noisy
Unit cools very well, maybe even too well. Bought 10k BTU size for a 350 sq ft bedroom in an older house that is poorly insulated and because Texas summer heat can be brutal. Probably could’ve gotten away with an 8k BTU size unit for this bedroom but the worst of August summer heat isn’t here yet. This unit is super loud though, even on the lowest fan speed sounds like a jet engine in the window and yes we mounted it correctly such that there’s virtually no vibration being transmitted to the window frame, the loudness is purely the fan noise only. A quick informal test using a sound meter app on an iPad shows 69.2 db average over one minute at approximately six feet away with fan running at lowest speed and the compressor running too, which you can barely hear the compressor at all, that part is very smooth and quiet. All in all I’m happy with the unit, it cools exceedingly well and moves a lot of air. The wifi+smartphone app doesn’t seem ready for prime time either but every brand of “smart WiFi “ window air conditioner on the market seems to be struggling with that also, maybe someday the app software bugs will be fixed with an update but you can read all about that on your smartphone App Store . This A/C is a solid well made unit, Just consider the possibility of loud fan noise if you’re gonna put it in a bedroom.
