Water build up
It’s been hot/ humid in my area the last couple of days. Last night I noticed / heard water dripping turns out it was coming from the unit. The fan was spitting it out from the vent it wasn’t much but the floor was moist. as we tried cooling down our room. Had to turn off the unit and drain the water from the two drains in the back. NO we did not have it on dehumidifier mode. I took ot out this morning to drain the water that built up over night and it was a good 16-20oz of water. Been running it for about an hour it already has water built up.

    4 months, that's all it took
    This unit has only been used for a total of 4 months, bought at the end of March THIS year. Now here we are. The unit powers on and cools for a whole 2 minutes then violently shakes and then blows warm air. I have done EVERYTHING I can think of. This garbage was a waste of money, still is a waste of time and my patience. 400 dollar paper weight. Coils clean, filters clean, condensation tray empty (as it's always been), hose straight and free of obstruction, operating on a level surface in an insulated building, this unit still won't work. Never buying toshiba anything again!

        Do not recommend
        Brand new unit froze the coils the first night it was installed. Every 4 hrs I turn it off and let it sit for an hr and the lowest it was today was 77 degrees and somehow ice still built up. Ugh so frustrating when it's so hot outside. This is miserable.

          DO NOT by this piece of junk
          I had an older and smaller window unit and wanted something more eco friendly. Although this unit is larger than my previous it does NOT cool off my 300 sq ft room. Its brand new and 3.4 of the time it blows room temperature air. I clean the filter once a week, it has been installed properly yet it just never cools the room even set at the lowest temperature of 64 degrees, set to cold only and fan on high. My room should be an icebox, instead I am sweating! In order to get it to blow cold I have to turn it off for a little bit then turn it back on again, then I get cold air for a little bit and then have to start all over again. If I could give it zero stars I certainly would have.

            Had no problems for first 6 months,
            The device works great for the first six months and then I started for winter and after that I kept getting P1 error codes I've had to constantly keep draining water from it. I truly enjoy Toshiba products I hope they stand behind this one.

              Lasted less than a month
              Purchased this on March 6th 2021 and as of today, March 30th 2021 it has stopped working. I've tried everything to have it turn out but it won't Last portable a/c I owed lasted me 7 years+. Last time I purchase a Toshiba product if I'm not assisted.

                I would purchase this unit again
                The unit does a good job cooling the room and is lite enough to move around. We use it in the garage during the summer. Of course we live in Orlando so that almost year around. We have had it almost a year with no problem but it would give a P1 and we would have to empty the bottom tank. It only happened twice in then first year but now it seems to be happening more often. Sometime within an hour. I would like to know why this has changed. For now I have installed a Condensation pump with it own tank to pump the water in the sink. If some one know why this has changed I would like to know to fix. Thanks in Advance

Running the unit in Continuous Mode and/or when the ambient humidity is high will cause the unit to collect water more quickly. To troubleshoot, confirm there is no air leakage from the outdoors to the indoors, check for any sources of humidity close to the unit (such as a bathroom or laundry room), and set the unit to a specific humidity rather than continuous mode to reduce the amount of collected water.                   I would never buy one again, this thing has a smell of old socks and urine. So strong that it makes me nauseated. Did some research and found that the smell could be toxic mold so we opened and looked and no mold anywhere. There was no drainage hole had to put one ourselves because of it accumulating water but it at smells after that. It's disgusting and I can't even keep it on to cool my room because if the smell. Would never recommend this to anyone.

                    Great AC for about 5 months, then fan blade had enough.
                    Purchased in April and it kept our upstairs office cold for the whole summer. It's now fall and temps have dropped but the one day it's required my wife fires it up and it's making a horrendous noise. Upon inspection the internal fan blade for the compressor has shattered. Pieces are in the rear vent tube as well as scattered around the inside of the unit. There is no visible fan blade left on the motor. Currently working with Toshiba to get it repaired/replaced. Not sure what happened or how as the unit is sealed and has not moved since installed, but for pieces to be in the rear vent the fan blade must have literally exploded. Let the record show the a/c worked great though.
