10-1/2 in. to 43 in. Solo Hitch Alignment System

These TowSmart hitch alignment balls are simply invaluable. Anyone who has ever had to hitch up a trailer in the rain, in the dark, on the side of a mountain, as I have, knows just how invaluable they are. They mean the difference between punching a hole in your back bumper with the trailer tongue, or getting in and out of your vehicle 100 times before you get the alignment right. This is actually my 2nd set of telescoping hitch ball aligners, as the first set wore out (it was made by another company and not as high quality). This set made by TowSmart is sturdier and higher quality and should last longer. To use these, you put one on top of the hitch ball on the back of your vehicle and one on top of the trailer tongue, and the magnetic bases keep them in place. They have telescoping rods, like a radio antenna, so you can adjust the height as needed. With the hatch open on my SUV, I know when the alignment is correct, as the slightly higher trailer tongue will knock the SUV's tow ball over as it displaces it. So even in the dark or the rain, I can easily get my trailer perfectly aligned. This saves wear and tear on your back, too, as you don't have to lift the trailer tongue, as some like to do on an open trailer, (which is nearly impossible on a box trailer). I use these anytime I am by myself, as I once punched a hole in my bumper by misjudging the distance which cost $600 to repair. Best of all, they're collapsible, so I keep them in the little storage cubby in the back of my Honda SUV. A truly indispensable product. See pictures below to see how they are used.

We have jet skies and this makes it very easy to back in the empty trailer.

These seemed good after initial purchase, but a few months later (and items were only used once), and the top portion (telescoping markers and balls) come right off the magnets. Now have to been glued back down in order to use them.

I don’t get yelled at anymore when I used to have to help my husband hook up the trailer. I love them!!

These things are fantastic! It makes hooking up the trailer a breeze! Simple solution works extremely well!
