This product meets SAE J684 is the coupling, hitches, and safety chain testing standard used to test trailers with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) of up to 10,000 lbs. There is no weight rating for this pin. It is designed to fit a 2" receiver.

    The response from TowSmartTeam is wrong. Every pin has a weight rating, in fact the weight classes are listed right in the details of this product. This pin is listed as meeting the J684 standard which is for 10,000 lbs and under.

              Thank you for your interest in the 5/8" x 4-3/4" Clevis Pin. In regards to the garden wagon, if the diameter of your attachment point is 5/8" then this would work for you. It is a best practice if you would measure the diameter of the connection point. The capacity of the Clevis Pin would have no problem for the garden tractor to pull the garden wagon.                 It all depends on your wagon and tractor ends. One has to be inserted into the other, with a common hole drilled through middle. This clevis fills the hole and keeps itself from falling out.

                    I haven’t had a chance to use this on my tow receiver yet, but I am going to do a comparison between this pin and the stock pin that came with my receiver. What stands out right off the bat is how ergonomic the setup is compared to the original. The loop on the pull side makes it easier to pull when the pin isn’t locked, and the pin on the locking side aside from locking securely in place is also physically attached to the pin itself via the steel tether. This tether also helps you pull the pin, which could be helpful for me down the road as I have diminished grip strength in one hand. Aside from that, hardened steel, finish looks well done and the points where the steel was cut were ground well with no sharp edges visible or exposed. A solid replacement or mini upgrade to your existing receiver pin.

                    The TowSmart 5/8 in. x 4-3/4 in. Clevis Pin is a good tow pin. It's made with a zinc plated finish so it shouldn't corrode or rust. At 5/8 in thick it's sturdy enough where it won't shear off easily. The handle on it makes it easy to pull out and the cotter pin keeps it from working itself out when in use. For using this to tow a trailer behind an atv, it works well.

                    I have a utility trailer that I use with an ATV and several tractor implements that need pins. Clevis pins are a simple item, but the TowSmart clevis pin differs from some others with the handle being able to rotate and the captive cotter key. It is well made, no imperfections noted and it is sturdy. I did run into a small problem when I tried to use it to connect my utility trailer to the ATV, the pin would fit to the drawbar on the ATV but the utility trailer was too small. I will drill it out and the pin will work well. The pin works well with my tractor implements whether it is with my John Deere or 1956 Ford. I am well pleased with it.

                    This Tow smart 5/8 x 4 3/4 clevis pin is a great way to make towing hook ups a bit easier. Any one who has towed knows the pin that comes with the receiver is a small j shaped pin with a clip on other side and after being in the weather the pin gets harder to remove. This Towsmart pin has a nice big loop to pull on to remove it also has a small cable that keeps the clip together with the clevis pin so when you remove it the clip doesn't fly under the truck or get lost

                    I've been looking around for a replacement 5/8” corrosion resistant zinc plated clevis pin for my Class IV receiver hitch on my pick-up. I came across this TOWSMART clevis pin with the clip connected with a small wire to keep the clip connected to the clevis pin even when it is not installed in the receiver hitch. No more searching for the small clip when the clevis pin is removed. It is of very solid steel material and heavy weight. This clevis pin is very easy to insert and remove with looped grip on one end.

                    The TowSmart Clevis Pin is a robust product with several desirable features. Among those is a chamfered tip for easier insertion, a safety wire attached to the hitch pin clip to prevent loss, a large graspable handle, and a heavy, polished zinc coating. I ordered this clevis pin to use with a tow-behind aerator and my lawn tractor. Unfortunately, the aerator is on back order, so I won't be able to review this pin while using it.

                    Around the ranch we have multiple trailers we use on a daily basis. One issue we have is that different trailers have different size couplings that require different size balls on the hitch of the ranch truck. It takes time to switch back and forth, as we have use the standard little pin and even lockable pins for the hitch in the receiver. This clevis pin makes life so much easier to switch out between the different hitches. It is very easy to pull the cotter pin, which we don't loose since it has the lanyard keeping it attached. The handle on the other side makes it easy even with gloves on to remove the pin and switch out the hitches. We will be replacing all of our ranch trucks with these clevis pins.

                    The 5/8” X 4-3/4” Clevis Pin by Tow Smart is handy for anyone that uses the hitch on their vehicle a lot. The handle on the end makes it so much easier to pull out as well as slip into the hitch. I always seem to have trouble pulling the pin out and the handle on this pin makes it so much easier. I also like having the retaining pin on a cable so it is harder to lose the retaining pin. A suggestion is to run the cable for the retaining pin over the top of the hitch so it doesn’t get caught on anything. Another feature I like about this Clevis Pin is that it fits both Class III and Class IV Hitches.
