The TowSmart X-mount Ball Mount is a patented X-mount design that channels away moisture to minimize seizing within the aperture of the receiver hitch. The X-mount design also includes a lockrail system that allows you to torque the hitch ball with a single wrench. The lockrail functions as a built-in wrench preventing the hitch ball rotation during installation or removal from the X-mount Ball Mount. Make sure to select the correct class for your towing application. Each X-mount can be used in either the drop or rise position depending on your requirement when towing. It is important to know the total weight of the trailer (GTW) you are towing and the maximum towing capacity determined by the vehicle manufacturer.
Patented, anti-seize design allows less surface contact and channels away moisture to minimize rust build up
Provides rise and drop positions to ensure the level of towing
X-mount easily connects your trailer to your vehicle for hassle free hauling

A: I put a 2” ball into my hitch and there was plenty of room for a bigger trailer ball so I believe a 2 5/16 would fit just fine in the hole.

The x design is great less changes for this to stick in the vehicle due to rust. Used this 2" trailer hitch a few times with zero issues. The specs listed on this are a 2" drop or a 3/4" rise if flipped the other direction. It's rated for 6000lbs gross trailer weight, and 600 lbs max tongue weight. Although these are the specs for the trailer hitch, every vehicle has a different rating that should be equal or lower than the rating of the hitch. Be sure to verify those numbers to ensure proper towing safety.

I needed a hitch with a 2 inch drop and 1 inch shank, the TowSmart fit the order perfectly. I like the X-design draw bar, less surface to surface to rust and wear, plus the rolled form shape likely make the draw bar stronger.
I had to buy a newer 2 inch hitch ball since my older hitch ball didn't have flat sides to nest in the lock rails. Not a big deal, it is better renew the hitch ball with the new hitch.
The draw bar set in my receiver just like it should. No trouble setting the hitch pin. No rattles except when I hit the driveway bump.
Well made!

I was needing a trailer hitch ball for my utility vehicle to pull trailers on my rural property. This TowSmart X-mounted ball hitch can either be a 2 inch drop hitch or a 3/4 inch riser hitch. I used the riser option. The hitch has a 6,000lb trailer weight and 600lb tongue weight capacity and is considered a class III hitch.
The lock rails are designed to help keep the ball from turning while tightening the ball. However, I believe you have to have a different style trailer hitch ball than I have. It fit well in my utility vehicle receiver and appears well made.
The TowSmart Tri-Ball Mount provides a quick and easy adjustment between a 1-7/8, 2 or 2-5/16 hitch ball size without the hassle of installing a different ball mount. The permanently affixed hitch balls eliminate the trouble of removing and reinstalling a new hitch ball. The Tri-Ball Mount will accommodate hitch ball sizes without needing to install or own an entirely different ball mount. The heavy-duty steel construction is extremely durable with a black powder coat finish that is corrosion resistant. It provides a hollow yet durable steel shank that fits in 2 square receiver tubes.
