How much size pig can u cook

Asked by sylvia May 10, 2019

If you get a small suckling pig, and trim the legs you might be able to fit it on this grill. If you are going to cook whole hogs a lot we would recommend going with larger grill for the best experience.

Save your self a major headache and just say no to the Lil' Pig. I purchased a Lil' Pig earlier this year. The door is attached 3/4" too high, causing the gasket on the lowered edge of the door to not meet the body. I have received 2 full smoker exchanges from Traeger with the same manufacturing defect. I have been promised numerous times that someone from Traeger corporate will call me to discuss this issue, but I never receive a call back. It's very apparent that there is no QA at their China factory for the Lil' Pig.

Response from Traeger GrillsJune 28, 2018
We're sorry you have had an issue with the gasket. Those gaskets are removable and replaceable. We would suggest requesting a replacement gasket and installing it in the correct spot for the seal. This being said, many traegers do not come with that seal and function correctly without it. TraegerService

Love this Lil’ pig! But!
Customer review from traegergrills.com logo
We have had our 3 years in June and this is the second one. We had to return the first one because it just didn’t work right wouldn’t get to 200 degrees to smoke properly! So they gave us another this one worked better but still doesn’t get as hot as it is suppose to do it is hard to smoke meats the temperature keeps dropping and won’t stay at 200. So we have to finish it by cooking it in the house very disappointing! It is good for grilling though! We love they look of it bought it because of our pool area is designed Hawaiian style and the Pig fit right in! But not a good smoker! Wish it could be fixed some how! Also you can buy pi pink paint for touch ups I noticed someone was complaining of the pig getting white with heat damage and yes it happened to ours too but you can get the paint just call the company!

Received this a a gift and everyone comments on it. Works well most of the time and like others I had a problem with the lower seal. I bought some 3/4” high temp seal and installed it on the lower body not the door and sealed up nice and tight. The hopper is much smaller than other pellet grills but that’s the price you pay for this pink beauty. I can no longer read all of the digits on the display and a replacement is quite expensive. The pellets inside the hopper cough on fire a few time and it’s not fun cleaning them out. My heat shield and grease pan are warped and will need to be replace soon. I’m happy with the grill but wish I had received a timberline or ironwood instead

Lipstick on a Pig
Customer review from traegergrills.com logo
Appearance it is nice. Functionality big miss. Pellet hopper is located inside the cooking chamber and the hopper itself holds a quarter of what the hoppers on the outside can hold. You want a conversation piece get the pig. You want to cook get a different model.

The BEST thing at the FAIR
Customer review from traegergrills.com logo
We got out Miss Piggy at the Western Washington State Fair (in Puyallup) several years ago. She was part of the display for Traeger products. As pig farmers we jumped at the change to take her home when the fair ended and have NOT been disappointed yet. We don't have the farm any more but she is the star of our trailer park and come Thanksgiving there will be Turkeys and Ducks smoking in her. She is the best smoker we've ever had.
