Hidden worm holes and knot
Paper label was covering 5 worm holes and a 1/2" diameter knot. Not acceptable for a highly visible piece. Will return for another if in stock but a pain. The first one I grabbed was badly warped.

Used for transition between Vinyl and Laminate flooring
The strips are made of oak and are very good quality. I have a very hard concrete foundation (concrete gets harder with time). I used an 8 amp rotary hammer drill to drill 1.5" deep holes that were previously marked by laying the strip down in it's desirable location. I purchased TrafficMASTER 1-1/4 in. x 3/8 in. Wood Pegs (12-Pack)Model # H4800Store SKU # 815373 and pounded them down into the drilled holes with a rubber mallet. You should have already stained and trimmed the strip by this time. All you have to do now is lay in place and with the provided screws, screw it down to the embedded dowels. P.S. A regular drill won't work for concrete and a hammer drill will take you 30 minutes a hole. My rotary hammer drill took 10 seconds a hole.

Great product. I used it between tile and hardwood floors that were a different level. The tile was about a quarter of an inch lower than the hardwoods. This worked perfectly.
