Hello Doc, Lansbury Oak is not a water resistant laminate floor. Adding any type of sealer could damage the floor and void the Manufacturer Warranty. Thank you.

Can i use this floor with the quiet warmth heating panels?

Asked by Tim April 11, 2021

Answer

Hello Tim, Grey Oak can be installed over a heated sub-floor if the system is designed for use with laminate flooring. The operating temperature must be less that 84F. You must decrease the temperature to 60F for one week before installation. You can increase the temp by 10F degrees gradually after installation. I hope this is helpful. Thank you.

The only thing that has scratched this floor (we’ve had this flooring for 3 years now) was a pice of metal that broke under our couch. When we moved it then it left scratches. I have not attempted to see if I could buff them out somehow because it’s hidden. Nothing else has scratched these floors; refrigerator, range, rocks stuck on shoes, or doggie claws. My only issue is the dust. These floors need gone over every few days and I haven’t found a product that keeps the shine very well. Still searching.

Can I use this flooring in a bathroom

I would not—laminate and extended moisture are a bad combo. I did see though some sealant you can put on top of such laminates to seal out all moisture. But seems more logical in a barroom to use something not affected by water.

Can this be installed over

Asked by Thirty November 16, 2020

Answer

Hello Thirty, Grey Oak does require a Wood or Concrete substrate to be installed on. Extruded polystyrene insulation is not a usable substrate to install laminate flooring on top of. I hope this is helpful. Thank you!

Very nice floor
I love the look of it.easy to install. Looks pretty awesome for the price. Don’t know about durability yes as we just installed it. But left a couple of pieces outside and it kind of rain a little and there is no stains or damage to the pieces.

Decent flooring but I wouldnt buy it again
Not easy to install unkess you have tools. I did it without tools but if your floor isnt completely level(my house is really old) then its a nightmare. Also the surface flaked very easily. I had one box that had a perfect sqaured edge of shaded parts. I was going to return it but they didnt have any instock and I needed to finish it that day. Would not buy again.

Durable and beautiful flooring at a reasonable cost
Used this for a 1100sf remodel. I have tried a few different laminates over the years (we flip houses), and this is my new go to!! It was easy to click together, and didnt damage easily with pets and on going construction. Been installed for about 7 months now, and no significant scratching frol chairs and still looks as good as when first installed.

Easy to install. Take care when tapping and locking in, its a budget friendly flooring which means is also easier to damage the grooves during install. Used in guest bedrooms and it does muffle foot traffic which is nice. Over all pleased with the purchase and price point. The tone is well suited for transitional decor as its a warm grey and can go either direction with color palates.

Looks gorgeous!
I decided to change out the floors in my kitchen, and wanted something inexpensive but easy to install. I’m fully aware that laminate isn’t intended for kitchens, but I am super cautious and don’t cook much, to be honest! I used the standard foam underlayment and this installed pretty quickly. Some of the joints had issues locking together, but I got it all to work. It seems fairly durable. I did chip off a tiny piece when moving my refrigerator, but that piece will be covered by a rug. There is a fair amount of traction, and my corgi was able to walk easily on it. I staggered my joints by 1/3 of the plank length. Looks much more expensive than it is!
