Asked by: Clark
I believe it only comes in the trigger style can. However, as someone who also suffers from arthritis of the hands, I find this particular spray can easy to use. In fact, it is much easier for me to use than the button style cans.

Will this product work with a flame retardant coating and a UV coating? Will it void the flame retardant certification?
Asked by: RLBArtist
Since our products are water-based they will not affect any existing coatings such as a flame retardant or UV coating but with regards to voiding the FR certification, that would be up to the certifying company. If you contact them, be sure to let them know that you've applied our product and it is water-based (not solvent-based). Thank you for your inquiry.

Aqua Armor 16 oz. Fabric Waterproofing Spray for Patio and Awning is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 25.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Effective water repellent for outdoor fabric I used this waterproofing spray on the awning that covers my patio daybed so that if it rained unexpectedly, the daybed cushions would not get wet. The product is quite effective at repelling water, although I think I should have sprayed a heavier coating than I did because while the water runs off easily, the underside of the awning is a little damp neverthless. The bottle is said to spray an area of 80 square feet, which sounds like a lot, but is really only about 8 ft by 10 ft. I did not have quite enough to spray the two covers for my daybed, nor to spray it on as heavily as recommended. The instructions do say to "soak" the fabric and then allow to dry completely. The only issue that I encountered was that after spraying a little more than half the bottle of product onto my awning(s), the spray trigger mechanism started to weaken. And so did my hand. I would like this product better from an application standpoint if the manufacturer made it in an aerosol instead of pump type spray.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product to protect outdoor fabric Trek7 Aqua Armor is a great product. I was happily surprised. I have an outside table and chairs which I wanted something to protect the cushions from water damage. I’ve included some pictures. Notice that in the not-sprayed picture, the water is spread out over the surface of the fabric. The fabric is becoming damp. However, in the sprayed photo the water is balled up in little beads on the surface of the fabric. I was able to just shake the water off the cushion. The product is easy to use, at least during the summer. During the winter, you’ll need to do it in a heated garage since it must dry for 24 hours before being exposed to water. I’ve included pictures of the cushion before sprayed and after. The after sprayed picture is still damp from the application. Yes, I like this product and will use it on all my outdoor cushions. I am going to try it on tents, backpacks, computer cases, table cloths, and jackets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to apply, works well I'm impressed with this product. it's easy to apply, spray on, dab up drops and puddle with a sponge, and let dry. I've used a waterproofer like this before for a coat, but it was much harder to deal with. I applied this to some patio furniture cushions, and was able to do all of them for a loveseat and two chairs with one bottle. Took me about 1 hr to do it including setting up a clean area and using a drop cloth to protect the table I was spraying on, and clean up time The fumes aren't that bad outdoors, but this stuff stinks so don't use it indoors. I did a quick test with my garden hose set on a light spray, and the cushions wicked the water, but I'm not sure how they'll hold up if they're left out overnight in the rain. I think I'll apply a second coat to all of them before I trust it to work that well. Overall I think it's a good product and am happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Invisible protection Before applying to our patio furniture I wanted to make sure it would not discolor the fabric, or change the overall appearance. I used a new dish cloth and applied Aqua Armor to one half. I allowed to dry overnight, and checked the appearance the next day. No change in color at all. Feeling confident, I applied the remainder of the product to our large patio umbrella and 6 patio chair seat bottom cushions. Application was quick and simple. The spray bottle provides a good pattern and the droplet size is suited for outdoor spraying. There was a minor odor which could be smelled if you held the treated fabric up to your nose, but this disappeared as the fabric dried. The next day, the treatment was put to the test when a visitor spilled soda on one of the seats. The soda beaded up and rolled off without soaking in to the seat. Very impressive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No more wet cushions I thought this product would be good to treat the outdoor cushions on my porch. I was somewhat reluctant to treat my white cushions because a previous product had yellowed similar cushions. Also previous products had made the fabric a little stiff. After cleaning the cushions, the application was simple and easy. As per the instructions, I placed them in the sun to dry. When thoroughly dry, I replaced them on my outdoor furniture and was pleased to see the white ones were not yellowed and the fabric was not stiffened. The real test came a couple of days later when my porch was covered with rain, however my cushions remained dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy application and thorough protection I use this to waterproof a canopy roof prior to a weekend art fair, where it was exposed to heavy dew and over-night rain. It kept the interior perfectly dry and did just what it was supposed to do. Prior to the waterproofing, the interior would "weep" moisture and would drip inside. The application went very smoothly and dried without any yellowing or change in appearance. (It is a white canopy.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It does make some materials much more water resisant I would say is makes cloth materials much more water resistant not waterproof. When is pretty new water beads up and rolls off, but if its hit hard with water it does seem to absorb some. I am guessing it has to do with my application of this product. It's takes some work to get is on evenly and there is a lot of squeezing the trigger on the spray bottle. I don't think I could do an patio awning or umbrella. If they sold it so you could put it in a pump sprayer then maybe and it would still be a challenge to get it on evenly and then wipe the surface to make sure there are no runs and even coverage. Also I would suggest wearing gloves when applying it as it makes your hands sticky, but it washes off easy with soap and water when wet. Also the sprayer on the bottle clogged a couple times on me too. For the size and cost and what you need to do to properly apply it, its best users seem to be on footwear and gloves and other small items to help keep water out.
