Hello Doug, and thank you for your interest in Trex decking! The Trex deck boards are available in 3 length options of 12', 16', and 20'. Thanks, Tori - Trex Customer Care Team
Hello Max, and thank you for reaching out. This product can be used on a dock. We would recommend increasing the gapping to 3/8" width to width to allow for increased drainage. Stainless steel fasteners should be used in this application as well. You could pick up some samples at your local Home Depot or visit our website. For a natural wood color I would recommend either Saddle, Beach Dune, or Tree House. Kindly, - Trex Customer Care Team
Hello, and thank you for your interest in Trex! Trex decking can be ripped to reduce width. Please note that a board should not be ripped less than 2" in width, otherwise it would be difficult to use any type of recommended fastener. If you are wanting to rout a ripped board to still use the hidden fasteners, the board should not be any smaller than 3.5". Please use care when fastening ripped boards, as pre-drilling may be necessary. When ripping a Trex board please note that it does remove the outer colored shell on that side for aesthetics. I hope this helps answer your question. Thanks, - Trex Customer Care Team
Hello and thank you for considering Trex decking. We would require that the existing boards be removed before installing the Trex. This will prevent the boards from warping as they do need proper water drainage and air flow. Kindly, Elisabeth-Trex Customer Care
Thank you for considering Trex. Yes, you can use either Grooved or Square Edge boards for your decking application. The grooved board makes it easier to use the recommended Hidden Fasteners though. For the square edge you would need to be sure to use the recommended fasteners as well. If you visit our website and go the the "Literature" section you will find a document that lists all of the approved/recommended Fasteners to use with Trex decking. If you should have any further questions, please feel free to contact us at 1-800-289-8739 Erin, Trex Customer Care
Hello, and thank you for your interest in Trex! Trex does not offer end caps for the Enhance scalloped bottom deck boards. For aesthetic reasons Trex recommends to "picture frame" the deck with square edge deck boards which will hide the Enhance scalloped board ends by creating a perimeter around the deck. I hope this helps answer your question. Thanks, Tori - Trex Customer Care Team
Hello Patricia, and thank you for your interest in Trex! All of the Trex deck boards can be cut to size as needed. Trex recommends using a miter saw with a carbide tipped blade with 60 teeth or more. Please note each board end should be "clean cut" 3/16" to help prevent flaring. The deck boards will always come slightly longer to allow for this so please measure before cutting. Thanks, Tori - Trex Customer Care Team
