Haha! I just read that previous comment! Yes - I guess it does have similar features to a remote car starter, but I can assure you that this will not start your car! I bought this to control the lights on my Trex Deck. It's fantastic! This remote allows you to chose the dim settings (if that makes sense). You use those buttons to turn it on and off and high or low. I cannot remember how many dim settings it has, but it’s pretty cool. Definitely recommend this if you have added Trex Decklights to your deck!

In the ad the description of the product says it is compatible with all low voltage LED lighting systems. The picture shows red and black wire attachments on each end of the device. When the dimmer arrived it was not as pictured. It had very specific wire attachments on each end of the dimmer which appears to only work with Trex deck lighting systems. I was told that the "dimmer" that was pictured was not a "dimmer" but a remote car starter. Very diaappointed.
