Are the bristles strong enough to brush artificial grass? The artificial grass needs brushing every few weeks, per my installer, so the blades remain more vertical. Does anyone have the experience with this power broom to brush artificial grass?

This broom attachment works with my Ryobi 40 volt power head that came with my tiller attachment. My battery is 2.6 Ah, and using this broom attachment runs the battery down very fast. 5 minutes work time and my 2.6 Ah battery was down to 2 bars. Still, it was enough for the small job I was working on at that time.

Are the bristles strong enough to move small stones?
Asked by: TVL
Absolutley! BUT you must be careful because it could propel a small stone where you could either injure someone or something, also, always wear eye protection while using this tool.

Will this fit the Echo 58 volt trimmer?

Will this fit the Echo 58 volt trimmer?
Asked by: NeedPowerBroom
I would think so. If it’s an attachment capable trimmer it should. I bought one for my Ryobi expand it trimmer and it fits great. I also have a homelite that accepts attachments and it also fit. By looking at a picture of the echo 58, it looks like it will fit.

Add-On 12 in. Power Broom Attachment is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 78.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from This review is for the power broom attachment. I have used the power broom attachment on my Ryobi... This review is for the power broom attachment. I have used the power broom attachment on my Ryobi 40 volt power head a couple of times now and don't find it very valuable for my needs. I used it to sweep the dust and dirt out of the garage. I found that chore much easier to do with either a regular broom, or my choice, my Ryobi air blower. Either way, both those options were much easier, and faster, than using this power broom attachment. I also tried using this power broom attachment to sweep off about 3 inches of snow on my sidewalk. The broom more or less only fluffed up the snow - it did not "throw" the snow or even really push the snow off the sidewalk. I had to shovel the snow first, and then the power brush was able to sweep off the remaining little bit of snow down to the sidewalk. Again, the power brush attachment was not worth the effort IMHO. Having said that, I realize that the Ryobi 40 volt power head is not as strong as my older gas power head, and that may have some bearing on the lack of performance of this power broom. It may work better with a more powerful gas power head, but I really have retired my gas lawn equipment in favor of the Ryobi 18 volt and 40 volt tools. In general, I am very happy with the 18 volt and 40 volt tools and attachments, but this power brush was a disappointment. FYI, using the power brush on a 40 volt power head with a 2.6 Ah battery for only 5 minutes took the battery down to 2 bars (half way). I may find other uses for this power broom, but it has not worked well for what I intended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Useful Attachment I recently bought a house with an acre lot, the problem was that 2/3 of that acre was overgrown. I wasn't sure what I was going to get into, so I purchased this brushcutter with hopes that it would speed up my job of clearing the lot. The item is very easy to put together, simple pop off the original handle and replace with the new J shaped handle, install a bolt on clamp for hooking on the shoulder strap, snap the attachment onto your trimmer motor, and off you go. I had never used a brushcutter of any type so it was slow at first, figuring out how to go about the business of cutting down brush, but after about 30 minutes, I was laying waste to the brush. The overgrowth I was cutting was mostly blackberry bushes, small saplings of various types. I found that if you keep a good gentle swinging motion going, you can pop through just about anything. Every once and a while there would be a tree that was a little bigger that I would have to slow down to saw at for a short time, but the cutter did a good job getting through it. The brushcutter would cut the vines and trees almost even with the ground, which was a concern for me, I wanted to cut everything as low as I could get it. I will say that as good as the tool worked, it still takes time. My lot is very overgrown with thick brush, so after about 4-5 hours and probably as many tanks of fuel, I called it a day. I probably only got about 1/10 of the area cleared, but the results for that area were great. I have no complaints. I'm sure with some practice, I'll be much more efficient with the tool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised ! (TB720) I bought this brush cutter attachment today for my TB22 trimmer. After I took a few minutes to get the feel of the new attachment I was off and running. What used to take me 3 or 4 hours to cut by hand I can now do in about 30-45 minutes, and it's a lot less labor intensive. The TB720 is very well built and comes with a really nice handle and strap which will make string trimming and edging much easier also. I would recommend this to anyone who has a lot of small brush, vines and ovegrowth to deal with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good - but there are other options I've had this attachment for a few years. It works as advertised and cuts through pretty much anything up to an inch although it may take a while to chew through it. However if you are primarily dealing with tall grass, and weeds or saplings under a 1/2 inch the hedge trimmer attachment is actually a better option since you are cutting a 19 inch swath at a time. My brush cutter pretty much just hangs on the wall of my garage and I've ended up using the hedge trimmer for just about all the clearing work.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Trimmer Plus Brushcutter I've owned this brushcutter between 2-3 years and have used for light duty clearing multiple times without any problems. But now, the spring loaded male locking button that keeps the cutter aligned properly, has broken. It remains sunken inside the cutter shaft and does not engage the female docking hole. Despite tightening the lockdown screw, the cutter head rotates so it is not parallel to the ground. The unit is now worthless and of course, out of warranty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Well But Takes Small Bites First and foremost I've had really good luck with Troy-Bilt products. They are work horses. This attachment works but expect it to work you as well. Make sure it is running at max before attempting to cut and you will save yourself a few headaches. Use specified fuel and treat it with respect!
