The Triostar Stomanthe is a popular plant for indoors and outdoors. This elegant plant features tricolor leaves of green, red and cream. The Triostar Stomanthe is a tropical perennial native to the Brazilian rainforests. Being hardy and easy to care for, the Triostar Stomanthe plant will do well in nearly any environment with indirect bright light. Also known as Tricolor Prayer Plant, the Triostar Stomanthe was named Plant of the Year by FNGLA (Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association). I attempted to just cut the dry edges of mine, but it didn't help. Ultimately, it may have been damaged in shipping. I would cut the entire stems of leaves that are more than 50% damaged and hope for the best. You may seen new leaves grow at the base eventually (mine did).

What is the return policy on this plant (and all live plants in general)? Can I return to a store...

The HD location nearest me is very accommodating if there's an issue with a plant ordered online. Not sure if that's the general policy or just my location but they've been great.

I would suggest getting familiar with the weight of the pot after being watered, and use your finger to check if it feels damp an inch or two down, when the pot feels half the weight of being freshly watered check with your finger and then water it, but don’t let it sit in any water. Probably once a week or else try a self watering pot. Needs humidity to keep from the leaves curling and drying up, I have had one for 5 years and it’s absolutely beautiful, but the one I received on here has been a sad situation since arrival... be sure to remove the sphagnum moss on top of the soil surface it was shipped with, if your in an area with lower humidity consider adding a humidifier for your plants and yourself as well, or setting pot on a tray of pebbles with water but not sitting in the water, also with other plants it can also help contain humidity.

No I would definitely remove it, immediately , these plants like humidity but don’t like to be soaked. The soggy stuff is sphagnum moss and will rot the crown of the plant if it hasn’t already done so. Mine arrived with soaked soil and packed with soaked sphagnum moss on top, even after almost 2 weeks in shipment, most the leaves were fried and rotting off. Unable to get any assistance so far other then my review being denied.

Waited long time for this plant and it finally came a month later well package but soaked in moss and water. Followed instructions and removed the moss and put it where it could get indirect light. First 2-3 days it looked good then the leaves started wilting. Within a week leaves were dying and I didn't know what to do. By the end of the month it was dying. Very disappointed as I liked it very much and was looking forward to having this colorful plant to brighten up the room.

They sent replacement
First plant came drenched in water, rotting leaves, roots struggling BUT they did listen and they sent me this wonderful replacement. Beautiful leaves❤

Good buy
The plant was carefully packed. It arrived on time and the moss used to cover the soil was still wet but hopefully did not damage the plant. I gave it a quick shower this morning and it looks in good shape.

Can not in good faith recommend this purchase.
I was extremely excited to receive this plant. I knew it might be a gamble ordering a plant online but the majority of the reviews were positive, with beautiful pictures, so I went for it. When my plant arrived, it was damaged, sunburnt, and wilting and sitting in soggy moss. The wilting I expected, as it had been shipped, but the sun damage had to of been there prior to packaging and delivery because its not going to get that while in its box. Damage to the leaves is debatable. I pruned a little bit of it to get rid of the leaves that were already completely dead, and set it in a room to start adjusting. Went in this morning and the entire thing is droopy, pale, and more or less dead. Even if it pulls through, every single leaf on the plant is marred in some way. I'm extremely unhappy with the purchase. I will do everything I can to get the plant going but I'm basically considering this money loss. If I had seen this plant at a nursery i'd of thought it was diseased or dead and would not have purchased it. I'm really happy that some people appear to have gotten beautiful plants. I'm just not one of them, and therefore cannot recommend this purchase. Photos attached are from after the unboxing.

I’m very happy with this plant! It’s doing much better...
I’m very happy with this plant! It’s doing much better than I expected. Transit took about 4 days. The plant was packaged very well and the soil was still moist upon arrival. I first watered it about a week after it had been delivered. The leaves open up and hang a little during the day and at night they are a bit straighter up / closed. Overall it’s a beautiful plant, well worth the price!

Very lovely plant!! Put in master bathroom because the internet says it loves humidity and can be fussy. It seems to be doing well and the leaves are beautiful colors! Highly recommend!
