Product Overview

The TripleGrip is 1 of the most technologically advanced anchor on the market. It is designed with 2 expandable wings that grip tightly behind the drywall for a maximum holding power. Its advanced Cam Action technology expands, thereby creating an additional pressure against the side walls of the drywall or masonry. This also provides more stability and strength. 2 lateral wings hold the anchor in place, preventing any rotation while the screw is inserted. Available in #6, #8, #10 and #12.

Hello Ed, thank you for reaching to us with your question. The Triple Grip is working with solid brick and each anchor will support 100 pounds, so if you put 2 it will be up to 200 pounds. The drill bit included is a 5/16'' and fit with #10 anchor. If you consult our Web Site you will find the Spec Sheet. www.cobraanchors.com. BEST REGARDS

Will these work in a tile wall in a shower?

These anchors may work well in a tile wall; however they are designed to work on 1/2 inch hollow drywall, so I personally would not use these for that application. I would use anchors designed for thicker tiled walls.

The triple grip anchor can work for your application, but only if you follow a process. Drill the 5/16" holes where needed. Push the anchors into the holes and tap flush. Screw the anchor screws into the anchor until the screw head is flush with the anchor, then tighten the screw 4 more complete revolutions to properly compress the anchor and expand the wings. Using a 7/16" or 1/2" drill bit, install 1/2" deep countersinks into your wooden board where the screws are going through. Attach the board to the wall and only support 40lb or less per anchor fastened to this board.

Will these work on wood panel?

These anchors are designed to work on 1/2" thick wall, so I would not recommend using these unless the wood panel is 1/2" thick.

If I understand your question you are only using 1/2" Durlocks into 1/2" tile which I would not recommend. These expand to grip and if they don't shatter the tile they will have very little grip and will possibly detach tile. These work best into a solid base, if concrete block or drywall I would use 1 1/2 for most applications. If I have misinterpreted your question the answer is yes you just need to match screw size and various lengths are available. Hope this helps.

Don't waste your time or money.
I used the drill bit that came in the package but these things pulled out of the wall while I was trying to install the shelves I bought them for. The mechanism does not engage and they just spin in the hole while you are trying to screw in the screws.

Poorly made product
I've had this case for several years and would always use them to anchor pictures or anything I needed to I've also started to notice that after a little while they don't stay anchored so I began to investigate why. After researching the design, it seems as if the body of the anchor is supposed to slide towards the top as you screw in the screw. The problem with these is that the part that is supposed to slide is connected at the base of the channel in with which its supposed to slide into. The only way to break it free is to cut it with a sharp blade. After that it seems to work as intended. These are more than likely just poured into a plastic mold and the idea was for the plastic to break at the channel and slide in accordingly. Unfortunately that plastic is too think to break smoothly and you are left with the anchor spinning in the wall or just not holding as well as it should be. I have since gone back to the store to get different anchors that actually work and don't have such a complicated design. This should be a simple procedure but they have over thought the simplicity of an anchor and therefore have created a terrible product.
