It's medium/high density fiberboard. So, it is what it is. That said, it's precisely constructed and was packaged so the corners did not get bent or broken by the sometimes careless national delivery services. I have a garage with a 38 foot long wall on my too bench side where I installed ten of the 24X48 inch sheets. It looks good because I took time to prime the boards, then paint them the same color as my inside walls.

Super strong
these boards are extremely strong. I put in some peg hooks and pulled on them a bit to make sure these would be able to hold my tools and I'm pleasantly surprised. I plan to hang my power tools as well once I have more hooks but I have zero complaints with this product. My work space is much cleaner already and I'm not even finished

As advertised, this is a heavy duty product. Finish is hard and should last a long time. I had been looking for 4'x8' sheets when I found these. Glad I did. I think the smaller size is much easier to work with and more efficient. I used a 6' strip to hang my landscaping tools. Plan to use more for hand tools at a work bench(future project).

Every corner on this peg board was broken and practically crumbled when I took it out of the box....
Every corner on this peg board was broken and practically crumbled when I took it out of the box. It had very cheap thin corner protectors that did not work. The box didn't look damaged when it arrived but every single peg board was damaged. Very cheaply made. I'm hoping I don't have to send these back and can just take them to the dumpster.

Not sure why it's become so hard to get a full 4 x 8 sheet of this 1/4" pegboard, it cost more this way, but it is a little bit easier to handle. This comes with corner protectors, two of my corners still got a bit messed up, not a problem.
Very good product, a little smelly at first. I used one spacer with a tapcon ( into concrete), in each corner, and one in the middle.
P.S. These are 1/4" thick, and 2'x4' each.

This product works very well for my needs. I can go to one area and find all of my tools now. Didn't take long to hang the boards. Took longer to figure out how I wanted my tools organized on them. I used a black marker, level, drill, Phillips screwdriver, and hammer. It's been up for about a week now.
You will need at least 5 anchors/spacers/screws per board though. The 15 set package wasn't enough.
I am a woman and put these up by myself.
