Mounting pegboard on a flat wall surface can be a major hassle as there are few choices other than to purchase expensive wood framing and the hardware to secure it to the wall and then secure the pegboard to the wood frame. DuraHook pegboard spacer kit takes about 1/3 the time to attach pegboard to a flat wall surface. The commercial grade steel DuraHook spacer kit is the ideal product to use in place of wood framing. All spacers are made of steel to hold pegboard in place in any climate whether hot and humid or cold and dry. The steel spacers will never crack and fall to the floor which means you only have to install your pegboard 1-time and know the holding system behind it will last a lifetime. The complete kit includes 15-pieces each of #12, 2 in. L wood screws, plastic wall anchors and 3/8 in. steel spacers to keep the pegboard spacing ideal for mounting DuraHooks or any standard pegboard hooks.

instructions are lacking
Tips for install: cut your board, **pre-plot the holes you are going to use and outline them so you can quickly find them**. Have someone hold the board in place and level, mark inside the holes you’ve chosen. Drill holes for the anchors, tap in place and then **use scotch tape to hold spacer on top of each anchor**. Have someone hold the board back in place. You can quickly see the holes youve chosen so screw in the screws. Theres no mention of how to hold each anchor in place behind the giant peg board, or how to see which holes youve marked and drilled… just thought id add helpful tips. Product seems sturdy thus far after install. Some styles of my pegboard accessories need more offset space than these spacers provide so I loosened my screws a bit to get them in place
