The Troy Bilt 150 MPH 450 CFM 2 cycle 27cc gas handheld leaf blower with vacuum and mulch kit (jumpstart capabilities) is a great blower that won't break the bank and works extremely well. It starts up very quickly (which is much different than every other blower I've ever used) and easily with no issues. The choke, throttle, and "cruise control" option to hold down the trigger is all easy to use and convenient. makes it a lot easier on your fingers and thumbs because you just have to hold it rather than depress a trigger for long uses. Used it with leaves and it definitely has more than enough power for doing that well.

This is a handy little blower for the size. Very maneuverable. It says it is 150mph with 450CFM of airflow. I was not sure what to expect after having used a backpack blower that has 175MPH and 760CFM. I can say that it does a good job moving debris. Much easier to move around to where I want to direct the airflow than with my backpack blower. I would say for most common jobs around the yard, this will do just fine. It easily blew the debris from mowing the yard out of the road and off the sidewalk. A nice feature about this unit, is the ability to add the vacuum attachment to mulch debris and collect the debris in the bag. While we do not have a ton of trees in our yard since moving, I was able to use it to vacuum up the leaves that have already fallen from the only tree in our yard. I decided to try vacuuming up some of the freshly cut grass to see how it would handle it. It did great! I would not recommend using it to pick up debris over mulch, unless you have patience. While it did good for most everything it sucked up, there was one piece of mulch that got lodged. I had to shut the unit down and then pry the piece of wood back out. That only happened the one time though. Everything else it sucked up, including some mulch, it shredded with ease. I would like an easier way to change out from vacuum to blower. I know this is for safety, but there has to be an easier way to achieve this without required the use of a screwdriver. It may not be a big deal for some, but it takes time. You have to use a screwdriver to change the blower attachment to the arm attachment for the bag. You also have to use a screwdriver to open the cover to attach the vacuum tube. While slightly annoying for me, it would not keep me from purchasing this model. I did remove one star for ease of use because of this. The ability to change and vacuum up leaves is well worth it. Sure beats raking them and picking them up by hand. Aside from that, it uses a 40:1 ratio for the gas/oil mixture. It was easy to fill. It started easily. Does not take up much space to store. Even less if you want to remove the tube each time. Handy little unit to have for those quick cleanup jobs.

Simple, powerful gas-powered leaf blower with an included vacuum/mulch kit. We have several huge maples that overhang our yard, so leaf removal is an annual chore, and a leaf blower is tremendously helpful. This unit went together quickly, and though the starting process is a bit fiddly, it started easily, warmed up quickly, and provided plenty of power. (FYI, pay attention to the volume of air a unit moves, measured in cu. ft./min or CFM, rather than the MPH, which can be misleading. A small-aperture opening can deliver high MPH without the air volume needed to really move a lot of leaves or debris.) The vacuum/mulch option is nice to have, but to my mind, it makes the whole unit unwieldy, the change over is a bit of a hassle, and it doesn't pick up or grind leaves fast enough to tackle more than a relatively small job. If you have a big yard or lots of trees and want to mulch the leaves, I'd suggest investing in a chipper/grinder. Even a relatively small one can process more cubic feet of waste in much less time. That's not to say this doesn't work, just that there might be a more straightforward approach. That minor issue aside, this seems solidly made and has a number of thoughtful features, including the optional assisted start (Jumpstart), the "cruise control" throttle lock, air intake on the right (much more convenient for a right-handed operator), automatic choke release, and more. TroyBilt is part of MTD Products, which includes such common names as Cub Cadet, Yard Machines, and Bolens, so parts are readily available and reasonably priced. A two-year warranty offers peace of mind. All in all, a solid choice for residential yard work. Recommended.

One thing I dread every fall is the amount of leaves I have to contend with. The TroyBilt blower has a vacuum option that not only vacuums up leaves, but mulches them as well. The only assembly is selecting and adding the attachments for whichever option you intend to use the machine for. Opening the cage to install the suction tube was a little tricky at first. But once I found the safety release, it went easily for other installations. The vacuum for this machine is great. Much better than a shop vacuum. The bag fills up fairly quickly when there are a lot of leaves and you have the throttle high. All-in-all, this machine is easy to use, has great power, and is well made.

Easy to start, runs good and I use the leaf bag to store the vacuum accessories. To be critical I'm not a fan of needing to use screwdrivers to change over from blower to vacuum, I would think it should be easy enough to include a tool free conversion. The package comes with a bag of 40:1 engine lube which I just dump in my little 1 gallon gas can and then fill with gas for the 2-cycle mixture. Easy. The blower does a good job however I did expect more from a gas powered tool, although I'm not comparing this to other gas powered blowers since I don't own any). The vacuum works very good though and it's easy to do, although the tube attachment is a bit cumbersome and the catch bag shoulder strap always seems to slide off while I'm working. Overall, I'm happy with the motor being easy to start and the weight of the unit. It's light enough to carry around for a while without fatigue and there's even a small strap hole that you can attach your own strap to which will help with any fatigue. Lastly, if you have the "Jump Start" accessory, you don't even need to pull the starter cable to get it running.

After following the start up directions it started right up. I just used my gas that I use for all my 2-cycle power tools. It’s a little bulky and heavier compared to its top competitor and it vibrates more for some reason. I giave it four stars because of the vibration. Other then that it really moves air. I blew out my garage in no time. The bag is easy to empty it has a zipper across the bottom. Troy-Bilt has a very good name in the industry so I am sure it will last for a long time. It seems very well made. I like the cruise feature so I don’t have to be sqeezing the trigger all the time. It is also compatible with their jump start power start. It comes with. 2 year warranty.

The Troy-Bilt 27cc gas leaf blower with vacuum kit seems well built offering dual options. It's 2-cycle fuel mixes 40:1 and offers a jumpstart capability. You throttle the motor by either a red constant squeeze lever or can make use of the "cruise control" lever by simple use of your thumb. It was easy to start, shut down and then restart. The operator instructions are straightforward and the blower comes with one allotment of 2-cycle oil. It's a powerful blower for which I will use likely as only a blower and not the vacuum/mulch for my needs, but the option is very nice.
