Replacement trimmer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Troy built trimmer for years and I finally went on to the repair yard, the new one seems as good but with the end of season only got use it a few times so far. All though it works as well as my original. Very happy

I had a Troy-Bilt straight shaft trimmer for about 6 years. The motor went out this summer after extensive use every summer. I wanted to replace it with a new model that worked with all my attachments from the past Troy-Bilt product. This was perfect and I was able to get it on sale! I would recommend this trimmer - and the attachment pieces for convenience.

I was disappointed with the method of adding string to the trimmer head. Yes it is easy, but you have a set amount of line that you feed in,like 16 inches, and replace it, when it gets too short. I use about 7 lines for each trimming session. This trimmer requires about 10 pulls to start it when my last one was just 3.

small trimmer head that comes of when you start trimmer. have to use pre-cut strings. would not recommend for large yards. may be okay for small yards that can be trimmed with one or two re-loads of string. i returned mine the next day.

Hard to change cutting cords. Uses 40:1 fuel instead of 50:1 which is annoying because EVERY OTHER 2 stroke machine I have takes 50:1. Otherwise it's ok.
