The TB25SH gas string trimmer features a 25 cc, 2-cycle lightweight engine that is comfortable for everyone. It comes with a Fixed-Line Trimmer Head that loads line in seconds by simply inserting precut lines into the cutting head until even on both ends. SpringAssist technology allows for easier pull starts, while Prime, Flip and Go starting system allows for simple, reliable starting. The straight shaft reaches more easily under shrubs, around fence posts and other obstacles and the multi-position adjustable handle reduces vibration and operator fatigue. Its TrimmerPlus attachment capability allows for more versatility and less storage space (TrimmerPlus attachments sold separately). Includes 2-cycle engine oil and a 2-year limited warranty.

Not Useable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Troy-Bilt TB25SH Straight Shaft String Trimmer is not useable. I took all the parts out of the box then started doing the little bit of assembly required. I put the cutting head shield on the lower shaft with no problem. The next step was putting the shaft together which is a very simple process normally. I could not get the two pieces to lock into place. I had a contractor working on my home at the time and he tried as well with no luck. You can see the pin but it does not go up enough to lock into place. This string trimmer was a complete disappointment.

It's alright
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Packaging was well done and even came with premixed fuel. It came with extra string. The strings are precut segments that go in a attachment. The string held up for medium weed whacking of plants and grass, As long as long as you avoid rocks or house foundation or other hard solid objects. The guard is on the smaller side and the bend near the string housing got pretty hot within a few minutes. Grass and stuff kept wrapping around the connector near where the string connects that bogged down the unit some and causing the unit to vibrate more. It has decent power for it's size and will work great for small yards.

Awesome little trimmer!

Simple assembly
Started exactly the way the instructions said that it would (pump bubble, pull string, let it sit 30 seconds, and it will start on next pull). The trimmer head is very simple and quick to use when you need to add new string. It is also so much easier to restring then larger traditional trimmers with a spool. It handled various types of weeds without issue.
Negatives:
Didn't come with a shoulder sling but it's small and lightweight so not a deal breaker.
Absolutely recommend without hesitation.

Wonderful trimmer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was trying out this weed eater and weed eater and apparently my husband decid of he liked it so much he took it over and as far as I can say from my use it is really easy to handle and cuts right through lots of different sizes and weeds and breads and brush. This is a very unique type of weed eater as it is straight instead of a curved in like We usually see. It is very easy to use even for an amateur like myself I was able to weedy R yard with ease. I would suggest anyone looking for a weed eater that is not really complicated Try this one out.

Piece of Trash
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In the morning you have to pull and pull to get it started, then if you need to add more string it stops. Once again pull and pull and if your lucky it will restart. Same is true if you need to stop it and add gas. It will not start. Gas and oil are fresh and in the right ratio. Had a cub cadet trimmer for years with no problems. Can't find it anymore. This one is a piece of trash,
