Awesome mower
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This by far is the best riding mower I bought runs great easy to use, perfect size for my yard. I am unable to cut my grass with a push mower due to health issues. This made it much easier to do.

So far so good, mower assembly and operation are not bad. Oil change is a mess. Cleaning the deck take more time than mowing. Added oil drain hose and deck washer adapter so far. Will add an hour counter later. Thought all these should be included and factory installed.

Garbage
To Steer this piece of garbage, I have to kick the front wheel from the seat to get the turn started. Had it 'fixed' at a shop and it lasted one cut of my lawn and the problem is worse than ever. Someone is going to kill themselves trying to steer this machine. The only thing worse than the mower is their customer service. They gave me a number to quote and their service was worse than useless.

    reverse cutting
the switch can be a pain if not done right. saw a YouTube video on how to bypass it, one wire to unplug. I absolutely enjoy this mower.

      Piece of Junk
Used 3 times and the steering went out on it. While at the shop, they checked out the motor. The transmillion was defective. Had to order a new one. Waited two months. Finally time to mow in the Spring. Battery dead. TB didn't have a replacement so had to go online. Finally get the battery installed and there was so much clanging I knew something was really wrong. Put it in reverse, lifted the mower deck, it chocked and stopped. Now the battery is dead (brand new). Contacted TB. About as helpful as a dead snake. Know your options. Get extended warranty, and from my experience, do NOT purchase a Troy Bilt. Granbury Home Depot was as nice as they could be and tried very hard to do something, but it just wasn't possible. Thank you Michelle.

        Horrible
Things you should know, you can’t have the blade engaged while in reverse or it will cut the mower off which is annoying but that is not the worst of it…the steering wheel doesn’t always turn your tires… it makes a grinding noise and then before you know it you’ve just run over your newly planted tree like I just did or get caught on your neighbors fence because you hit a bump and the tires decided to turn and now the steering wheel won’t turn anymore so you have to remember to disengage the blade, put it in reverse but nope that doesn’t help because the steering wheel still isn’t working so you have to pop it in neutral and move the tires by hand every few minutes! Also the brakes get stuck so you have to hold them all the way down and change the speed gauge to get it to dislodge

          reliable little riding lawn mower
Bought in spring of 2021, used for a full season, no real problems to speak of. Really liked grass catcher option for getting rid of leaves in the fall. Was very disappointed that at the beginning of this season (March, 2022), the battery was dead. Figured it just needed to be jumped and would charge up as I mowed. No dice. Jumping worked, mower started fine, and mowed without incident for 45 minutes, but when I turned mower off for 10-15 minutes, I couldn't restart it. So, now I'll have to replace the battery at my cost as it is not covered by warranty, which is ridiculous to me. Mower was stored for 4 months in a climate controlled garage, not exposed to extreme weather and the battery dies after one season. Not happy about this problem.

            Steering issues
Bought last year. Runs good, easy to use. Main issue is steering mechanism. In 1 month the cog would skip if I turned sharp. Thought it was a safety thing but It just got worse until 7 months later I couldn't steer it at all. Found a design flaw. No adjustment capability at all.
